Rio Grande is a school where you need to bond with teachers to make sure one can get the help he needs, some teachers have the will to help their students, others not so much.
Sports are not really their specialty. The two sports that out stand the most are baseball and wrestling. I play Baseball and the coaches are willing to help their player to become not only better players but better human beings.
We try hard to make students really have school spirit, and well there's always those clowns that want to get attention and make fun of the way we try to get everyone involved.
Rio Grande doesn't have the best facility, we only have had one new building for the freshmen, we where supposed to had already a new gym, that was supposed to start on the school year of 2016-2017. But all that money went to a school that was founded on 1986, meanwhile we had founded on 1959.

Rio grande is a great school with great teachers and a great staff, like all schools there is some teachers that aren’t so great. I have had a great experience with my sister there for 2 years. She graduated this year. I still have 2 more to go. I have an outstanding volleyball coach who doesn’t only coach me about volleyball but also life. He is also and amazing teacher. My avid teacher has taught me that everything has a purpose and to see what I can do to help my future and to try even when it’s hard. My school may not be the best I have learned valuable and good lessons. I have had teachers that taught me how to learn things on my own.
My experience at Rio Grande High School has been very good. My teachers have been great and have taught me well. Some changes I would like to see in the future is more teachers, better facilites, and better academic curriculum or lesson plans. Better security to make students feel safer. Over all better food for the students. The food served is poor in nutrients and not to mention it’s pretty awful. I would also like to see more school culture, more spirit.
