I like that there’s many opportunities to get involved at Rio! There’s definitely something for everyone. One thing I would change is the parking availability, and the way our administration handles many of the issues on campus.
Rio Americano has good sports programs with great coaches! Some teachers offer additional support such as tutoring, whereas others don't. I wish there was more academic support for struggling students during distance learning.
I have attended Rio Americano for 3 years. Overall this school deserves a 3/5 star rating because though there is a lot of room for improvement, but it is a well functioning school. Rio Americano is very diverse and definitely takes other cultures into account. It has many cultural clubs and there was even an interactive event held where students from other countries can inform others on the many aspects of their home countries. The administration does a superior job of making the foreign students feel welcomed. For the most part the teachers are satisfactory. But there have also been many that lack motivation and the students best interest. Teachers make a big impact on the students and the environment so it's important for a school to have ones who strive to prepare their students for their successful life ahead of them. There is also a variety of classes and extracurriculars available. Rio Americano gives students the option to explore their interests and future career goals.
