Rifle High School is a small school compared to the schools on the Front Range, with around 800 students. Academically, it has struggled over the past few years, but with the new administration, things are looking up! As the school is an International Baccalaureate school, the administration and staff are diligent about improving the program. As a student who experienced the changes in administration as an IB Candidate, I can comfortably say the students are being set up for success in the IB Diploma Programme moving forward. The school also offers many AP classes, with more being added every year.
In terms of sports, there's a large emphasis on football, as Rifle has been a powerhouse in the last few decades. The success in other sports fluctuates, but the teams improve every year. Bullying is pretty rare here because everyone seems to find their group of friends they're comfortable with. Getting involved in the many clubs that the school offers can help students find their group.

My experience at Rifle High School has honestly been mediocre. I was really excited to go to high school, but it was a let down. Maybe it's because my high school experience started with covid, but I feel like i just haven't gotten the high school experience. Some of my teachers are amazing and i wouldn't trade their knowledge for the world. However, some of the staff is questionable, sometimes I feel like the wrong people have been hired. I feel like our over all education isn't great, besides the few teachers who care for the students. I feel that I would've had a better education elsewhere, but what can you do. RHS is not a terrible place, I just feel that it has potential to be better.
I loved it! I am so thankful for Rifle High School. For a small town school, it was pretty good. The staff is amazing.
