Ridgewood High School is a nice small school in a stereotypical middle class American neighborhood. Most teachers that I had were very nice and were always willing to help me when I needed them. The counselors helped me become more ready for college. I know that there are some rumors about teachers being hard and lazy; but if you want to become successful in your classes in this school, you have to keep on pushing yourself to do your homework and study. Doing that will help you get ready for college.

Ridgewood had enough money to provide students with resources to help ready themselves for a college education. Some classes and teachers are entirely worthless, but there are a couple phenomenal teachers that stand out and help students achieve great things. Many students here are underachieving here though.
Ridgewood was an excellent school that was always looking for new ways to innovate and keep the students interested and continue learning. One of the most important factors in a successful school is the environment. Ridgewood has a warm and welcoming environment. The teachers want nothing but success for us and will go out of their way to help us. Ridgewood even provides an excellent special education program whose main goal is success not only for the disabled but those around them who are taught many real-world applications. Another thing that made Ridgewood stand out from other high schools is that it is the member of the initial Competency- Based High School Pilot Program. We were lucky as students to be given the option to be able to take a college course and receive dual credit while still in high school. I am lucky enough to to say that I graduated from Ridgewod High School.
