I love how Ridgeland has a spot for everyone, the school gives you the tools to exceed in the classroom and in life. Ridgeland offers 3 different academies to it's students to best accommodate the students needs and learning abilities. You have the Stem Academy, Honors Academy, and Regular Academy. The Stem Academy offers a more hands on learning experience while the Honors academy offers AP classes to better prepare their students for college. The Regular Academy gives a more traditional feel to high school and offers the mandatory classes needed to graduate while still preparing their students for college. Ridgeland has a spot for everyone. If I had to improve one thing about my school it would be school pride, there is a lot to be proud of to be a Ridgeland Panther. It is time to not be afraid to be a Panther, but to be proud of it!

I love my high school. There is a lot of heart and school pride among the student body and staff. It is an excellent place to learn and build relationships with peers and teachers. The foundation of Ridgeland is centered on the idea of respect. One of Ridgeland's mottos that we hear, see, and say every day is, "I will be safe, I will respect my learning environment, I will respect others, and I will respect myself."
Of course, it is not a perfect school, and like any other place, there are many things that could be changed. This school is in a low-income area, so there is little money in the budget for extra spending. This leaves us to deal with little problems like poor book qualities, chrome books that need replacing, and we run out of toilet paper halfway through each day. However, despite these little problems, I have a lot of love for for my school, and I am proud to be a Ridgeland Panther!
This review is ONLY for the Ridgeland Honors Academy

I am in the Honors Academy at Ridgeland, which is basically a school within a school.
The Honors Academy is unlike any other education program offered in the North Georgia area. All classes are either Honors, AP, or Dual Enrollment classes. The teachers give us personal attention and seem to truly care about us. The small numbers allow friendships to be even deeper and allows me to enjoy school more.
However, the rigorous schedule and the high demands cause a lot of students to have depression and stress. I too have succumbed to this. Hopefully, in the future, there can be a better focus on mental health.
