Overall, Ridgeland High School is a good school with very wonderful students. My main problem with my high school is mainly with administrators and some teachers. Our administrators are known for corrupt actions and overall disinterest for the students. Most of the administrators were known for being unnecessarily rude, and the lack of respect for students or teachers are obvious. There's also a lot of teachers that do not teach. They show a video or handout busy work and sit in their desks all day. There are classes called the students call "filler classes" which is basically a study hall in that you gain no new knowledge but it differs because they give you busy work. Some filler classes are just coloring. Coloring. We do the same thing a kindergartener does in a "psychology" class. Other than that, we are the most diverse school in our state, consistently rank high in sports and various clubs, and academically one of the best in our state.

My experience at Ridgeland High was like no other. Although it was my only year there, it was also my best year. I met a lot of great friends and the teachers there made it welcoming for me. I also ran track for my high school and we as a team got to the championship round. My coaches and my peers all selected me as Best Sprinter. I was honored for that selection and grateful for the opportunity to represent my school in great fashion. I am happy to choose Ridgeland High and I am for a Titan!
We have some excellent facilities that most of the schools in Mississippi do not have access to. The administration was active in finding ways to encourage and reward well-behaved students with a card system based on behavior and grades. They offered tutoring sessions and breakfast in the morning. There was a pretty good selection for above-average classes as well. However, I did not agree with the tendency to punish the entire student body for a few bad kids. I would change the administration's mindset to focus more on the student's perspective rather than just following the procedure. With that in mind, I did feel that the teachers empathized with the students and did above and beyond what their job required them to do.
