Ridgeland High School is a great school if you want an above average high school experience. We have many great clubs and electives, SOME teachers are amazing at what they do, and the cafeteria food isn't the worst. Our administration needs the most work though. Within my 4 years of being there, we've gone through 3 head principles and 4 assistant principles. Every year something different happens, whether that be different school hours/schedule, new (or removed) privileges, or different school dance locations. It's not always bad, but sometimes it can be a little frustrating. Besides the teachers and administration, we have a ship load of personalities when it comes to students. It'd be difficult NOT to find a crowd you fit in with; most students are very accepting. Every school has their bad seeds, but ours isn't too out of control. Discipline is handled mostly well and a lot of kids try to stay out of trouble anyway.
A 3.5 is the perfect rating for Ridgeland High School.

Ridgeland High School is undoubtedly diverse. They provide their students with a "modern" technological education with most lessons being taught in person but submitted online with each student having a MacBook air to aid studies both in school and at home. The abundance of class fees can weigh down on students and parents (especially if you have more than one child attending the school at one time ), but the school provides a payment plan for those who struggle. Safety is above average. Daily schedules for students are reasonable, students even having a short break time each day. Students have a reasonable amount of privileges. Counseling is provided though actual results will vary. The school has excellent WiFi aiding it's tech based approach. The overall experience is decent (even though I, as a student, though hated every second of it, this place provided us with were above average, and everything implemented was with good intention (even if this place drove me insane)).
I love Ridgeland High School and how involved the faculty as well as students are. Everyone is so encouraging and thats exactly what teenagers need during these 4 years , because of all the pressure high school causes. We have many safety assemblies about how to stay safe. As of right now my peers and also including myself take advantage of those safety assemblies. But as soon as you leave you realize how much you need the added info. I really appreciate all that Ridgeland Highschool does for their students. EVEN THOUGH, RHS takes dress code very seriously and the cafeteria food is only fresh every two weeks.
