RA was the best school I ever attended. Not only were the teachers helpful, knowledgeable and kind, they made the school feel like a home to me and I always felt that they were truly invested in bettering my education and me as a person. I went on incredible service trips all over New England and even a hiking trip to the Grand Canyon and Yosemite. Many schools say that they value service and community, but Ridgefield academy goes above and beyond with their dedication to helping others and expanding students' worldview. Students are given opportunities to engage in other cultures that are typically only accessible to high school and college levels because RA recognizes and believes in its students' maturity and ability to change the world.
The academics are top notch and each student can find their niche here, socially, academically, and personally. Ridgefield Academy made me the person I am today, a curious open-minded person who doesn't shy away from the unknown.

Overall, a solid school with high standards. We moved to Ridgefield because of the reputation of the public schools, but were disappointed by big class size, uninspired curriculum, and reality that wasn't as good as advertised. Love RA's small community feel, whole child philosophy, and ability to prepare our kids for high school; they are a year ahead of their public school counterparts now. Not cheap, but worth it!
My husband and I were looking for a school where our child would feel safe to take risks, love learning, be encouraged by her teachers, and be challenged to be her best. This school touched on all of those things. I cannot say enough about the wonderful teachers and the way they help each student succeed. It is a wonderful, warm, and nurturing community where children of all abilities thrive. Love, love, love this school!
