Overall Ridge View was, in a way, a home away from home. Sure we had our ups and downs but at the end of the day, I knew I would have family there forever. Something I would like to see change would be how Ridge View handles serious issues (assault, harassment, bullying; anything that regards press). In my opinion they only seem to care about the situation after it’s happened, there is no real change to fix it and I think that is a problem. The school is a lot of fun and has amazing teachers and amazing opportunities for each student!

Ridge View is a wonderful school. Our magnet programs and schools-within-a-school truly help us students prepare for and achieve the future we want. Bio/Allied health students can become registered nurses (in school too!), doctors, and medical practicioners. Scholars students go on to become politicians, lawyers, and activists. School for the Arts shapes students into the photographers, artists, and designers they want to be. The CATE program turns out technological whizzes.

There are programs in RVHS that allow students to travel the world with their friends, teachers, and even family. I, myself, have gone with teachers and other students to London, Paris, and Normandy. This summer we’re going to Central America! Magnet programs allow students to travel within the US to see so many amazing Broadway shows, museums, and universities. Ridge View provides for its students the best it can and it truly does an amazing job at it.
My experience with Ridge View has been fairly a good experience overall. I have personally done well in all of my classes while also maintaining nonacademic duties such as community service and playing varsity football for my school. They have a lot of different academic programs that are pushing you to be a better student not just academically but just an all-around person. I will be a senior this year and I look forward to the upcoming school year!
