My experience at the middle college was very mixed. At times, I felt like it was probably the best decision I made because they were very willing to work with any and every student on their classes layout. They allow students to take classes at Midlands Tech which is very good. However, I was often frustrated by how much the actual middle college was just there to kill time in between college classes.

We have a variety of different races. Everybody gets along great and there is never any problems. The best thing about this school is it is not a mandatory, regular highschool. This school is a choice. Every student chooses to attend this school so everybody there is there for an education. The people in this school do not have time for drama, failing, partying, everybody wants an education and everybody is very focused. Everybody is very accepting at this school, it does not matter if you are gay, transsexual, black, white, Chinese, muslim, etc. It does not matter. You are who you are. And that is all that matters to us. Wonderful school!
Richland One Middle College was an amazing choice that I made. I am proud to say that I graduated from ROMC. You are treated like an adult and classes are flexible. Unlike regular high schools that fill your class schedule with unnecessary classes, ROMC only gives you the classes you need. Doing this gives students the time to focus on other things like a job, internships, scholarship applications and more. My favorite thing about the middle college was Wednesday's "Dress for Success" day. Every Wednesday you were expected to dress like a professional in business like clothes. This gave me the confidence I needed to dress like a respectable adult and not feel as if I was "doing too much". The only change I would make to the school is to maybe look into some sort of sports teams for the students. I recommend all parents in the Richland One school district who wants their child to be different and to succeed, to send their children to the Richland One Middle College.
