My time at Richland Collegiate High School has truly been an unforgettable journey. The highlight undoubtedly lies in the exposure to college-level courses, priming me for the higher education adventure. The professors' dedication and the immersive learning environment enriched my academic experience profoundly. However, the scarcity of extracurricular options posed a drawback, constraining the holistic development I had envisioned. Expanding the spectrum of clubs and sports would significantly enhance not only our academic voyage but also our social growth. Here's to hoping for a more vibrant and comprehensive educational chapter ahead! Here's to hoping for a more vibrant and comprehensive educational chapter ahead!
As a high school senior at Richland Collegiate High school, I love this school through all of its ups and downs. This high school is a dual credit program part of Dallas College, meaning that all my classes are college courses taken with other community college students. This allows me to be in a mature environment that sets me up for university next year. Unlike regular high school, I have to hold myself accountable to complete my work and carry out my responsibilities. Despite the difficult courses, I still love this school due to the freedom that I have. Although all my classes are in a community college campus, this school has a small portable building outside the campus for just high school students. This is where I made all my friends and found comfort in a loving community.
My experience at Richland Collegiate high school was extraordinary. I graduate Class of 2022 with my associates in science and my high school diploma. Being at Richland didn’t just give me a head start at my current university, it also gave me the college experience. A lot of kids in high school come out of high school confused and lost to what’s the next steps, but at Richland collegiate high school it explained and prepared me for university. The best part at Richland Collegiate high school was being able to create my own schedule and planning my day out. As a college student I do believe that it’s extremely important to schedule your classes that fit best for you. Planning is also another great strategy that I learned at Richland. At Richland Collegiate high school Planning and organization is key, they provide each student with planners and checked them weekly and giving us a grade on it. Now by doing this it let the professor know if you we’re staying on top of your school work.
