Amazing staff and faculty, teachers really want students to succeed. This school is so ethnically diverse and provides all students with so many opportunities. I took hold of some of these opportunities. During highschool I was involved in a group called teens offering peer support, dental club, AVID, and dual credit health sciences. High school was such a roller coaster but it was such a learning experience for me. I learned some leadership skills and qualities while attending high school. Covid affected my junior and senior years of high school, so the peak of my involvement in my high school extracurriculars did come to an abrupt halt during that time, but looking back I can see that everything does happen for a reason. Looking at things from a reflective perspective can shape the way you view things. Overall I can recall so many memories of being a student here and overcoming hurdles that many high schoolers face during this transitional time in our lives. RHS eagles soar high
A graduate ‘75, the school still has high rankings due to the teaching methods, low teacher student ratio, tutoring. Have great appreciation for the leadership we received from our peers. Students please appreciate the fine teaching staff, follow rules, safety protection measures set in place for the best overall learning experience at RHS. Help teachers & students. Be proud, respect all faculty. Practice healthy manners, be kind, loving, ditch bad attitudes & thinking. Be yourself, Be compassionate, love and kindness will enrich your lives. Get involved in your community, help an elderly person. Guys open & hold doors for the ladies. Give compliments often, lend an ear to a friend in need. If you can start each day with one objective”Put a smile on someone’s face” speaks volumes of what a true & genuine character you possess. Do not succumb to prejudices, remove hate from your heart. Practice a life of goodness. Rewards are abundant to those who serve.
I think many of the teachers are great educators who inspire their students not only to pass their classes but want to get to know their students. However, I feel like the students are divided into groups and aren't open to new people and ideas. Like me, I think others stay with their group of friends because they feel unwelcomed by others. This school has a cultural divide that causes there to be 2 sides to the school: the good and the bad. I also feel that there are smaller problems that create problems for the students. The fine arts students have a less-than-average restroom that is always humid, toilets leak, and sinks spray water at you. The other restrooms are locked during some classes and students and to walk further to find one open. This causes them to miss more instruction or become more susceptible to distractions in the hallways. There are also shared spaces for students to use, but students rarely get the chance to use them.
