It could be better if they did not run out of food every day, it would be better if they actually cleaned the bathrooms. I mean I could take pictures of the boy's bathroom and you'll see all the trash just lying there all over the urinals and sinks, it stinks as well. there is a gas-like smell beside the girl's bathroom water fountain. Seagulls everywhere stealing your food. The grass isn't mowed properly either. There are literally no field trips and all the field trips that you want to go to you have to pay. DC costs 1k+ when my friend only paid $200 for 5 days. Catalina costs like $500. This year we didnt even go on a field trip and I'm expecting one. Get your game up rhdms. Some staff are VERY rude.

Dana MS teachers are highly knowledgeable in their field of study. They are also rotated to maintain multiple areas of knowledge. I have found their desire and ability to reach students and engage them in learning to be very successful. My child often talks about her in class learning and gives examples of how things work, without probing.

Teachers are well versed and utilize high-level technology in all classrooms for assigning work, observing/commenting on work, and rating student work. Students also work with technology to complete assignments for subjects like Project Lead the Way.

Dana's teachers also provide leadership around campus through student and family activities. Given the close nature of this district's community, many are also community members, thus making communication even easier and better. Parents support teachers and teachers support our kids.
Students were in charge of almost everything at school, mostly the PE equipment and money wastes. There are a wide variety of leadership opportunities within the school and many after school activities to keep students out of trouble.
