The school has a terrible problem about communicating with parents and students alike, none of the things they preach is happening within those walls. They preach self expression but won’t let you wear your favorite T-Shirt just because it has a band logo on it, you can’t even wear darker clothes (Ex. Black jacket with black pants.) They preach being an accepting school that anyone will come too yet when they found out the counselor was gay they fired him and replaced him. They pretend to be this “exemplary” school but there’s a lot of things they will sweep under the rug and threaten to fire teachers over if they even speak of it. That school is beyond shady. You can ask anyone in that school and they will tell you that it’s awful there. The food there was completely raw on multiple occasions. They can’t keep the money they gain from fundraisers because they spend it all recklessly on stupid things..
Overall a good school. It can be difficult at times. Some of the teachers are hard to get along with.
Bullying is very uncommon, the school nurse is super healthful, and their are security cameras wired all across the school so the staff knows everything that is going on. Safety at this school is not an issue.
There are some clubs but not as much of a variety that would reach out to all of the students.
This school is a super independent school that has its own way of doing class lessons and extracurricular activities than other schools.
Good school overall. Family like feel was the best part- if anyone ever needed something, it was taken care off (emergencies, Christmas, etc.). I would probably choose this school again, simply because they are like my family. I know I could count on my friends and even my teachers if something was amiss.
I am sure there have been a few changes since I graduated 2 years again-adding new teachers and sending off the ones who've retired-but it was a good school to go to, a nice family-like feel to it, especially when the teachers showed how they really cared about their students! Overall good school in my opinion.
All of the teachers are wonderful and very helpful. I have not had a single problem with any of my teachers throughout high school. All teachers have wonderful styles of teaching and are all familiar in a sense. They are very knowledgeable about what they are teaching, and even what they are not teaching. They have a unique desire to watch students succeed.
This school offers great academic opportunities and a relatively simple curriculum. All scheduling is done by the secretary and counselor. Our teachers are amazing!
Extracurriculars are taken very seriously at Richard Hardy. I am in two clubs out of many. I am currently in Interact and Beta club. Interact club is a major thing at school. We do lots of community service projects and diverse things like that. There are clubs like FCA, Beta, Yearbook, and others.
Our principle has proven to be very inspirational and helpful with anything that is needed. She goes out of her way to help as does majority of the other staff. I have a wonderful guidance counselor/ senior adviser/ mentor/ teacher. I say that because she is responsible for all of those things since it is a small school. I have nothing to say negatively about the staff. Our principle has fought to keep us from having a dress-code. We can wear anything casual as long as there aren't holes or anything racial, threatening, or gothic. The only thing i don't like is that we can't wear pajama pants to school. Bullying is one of the big policies at school. Everyone is almost like a big family there. There is not much drama, and everyone is friendly.
our scohool spririt is about at any other school, there is not musch of a difference. we do have school spririt though it shows when you walk through the front door. we try to support our team if we are a winnong or losing team.
The teachers are very intellegent in the subjects that they teach and are very eager for their students to learn.
This is a great school. The building is old but in great shape. The teachers are all willing to help and there are ample resourcesfor learning.
I love my school! I have so many great teachers and friends . My school pushes you to do better in and out of the class room . We are like one big family where i go to school and i would not imagine going anywhere else
I go to small school and we are Building our athletic teams and facilities up from really the bottom. We are slowly getting more and more school spirit each year .
Sadly at my school we have to go get our lunch at a different high school ,so sometimes we run out of food ,or the isn't what it was suppose to be .
