Being a high school Senior, my experience at Rice has been wonderful. It has shaped me into the hard-working person I am today. The teachers are amazing and are each very good at teaching what they know. There is a very wide spectrum of classes available to take and it has been very nice to be able to experience many different fields. I personally think that if I had not attended Rice Memorial, I wouldn't be nearly as educated - both school wise and as a person - and I am incredibly grateful for that. There isn't much that I would like to change about Rice as everything is wonderfully managed by the Administration and they are effective in communicating with the student body. All sports teams - there are many different ones - and sporting events are very fun to attend and participate in. Overall I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Rice Memorial High School and wish them the best of luck for many years to come.

I liked the size of this school and being on the sports teams. BUT
My siblings and I went to Rice for 4 years and we all agree the environment is terrible, as it is incredibly superficial and comprised of close minded people. The manner in which the school teaches is also a bit outdated and puts a lot of pressure on students. I knew of a student who made themselves puke to avoid a certain class. There was another who would often go to the nurse to catch up on sleep durring study halls. I also saw my fellow students have anxiety attacks, or just break down. I have plenty more examples but I don’t know if I can write them here. This school has a nice reputation, largely due to generations of people attending (it’s a bit of a legacy school) and that it is one of the few (and the largest) private schools near Burlington—not to mention they have strong athletic department. Also If your child is a creative thinker or into the arts, don’t expect Rice to help them expand on this much.
Dedicated teachers and challenging academic classes. Small community where students and teachers can work closely to ensure the success of each student. Rice encourages strong work ethic, responsibility, respect, communication, and freedom of religious beliefs. There are many opportunities for academic achievements and to push ones self to achieve goals.
