Great, small, inclusive high school in small town of Rhinebeck. All my teachers have been wonderful and I’ve learned a lot in my four years here. Wish there was more dialogue between administration however.

Overall a positive experience. The academics were good if you applied yourself, and teachers for the most part cared.
The academics are very good! The Science and English departments are definitely the strongest. Most of the teachers are clearly very enthusiastic about their subject. There are of course a few teachers who obviously really don't care, which is incredibly frustrating especially in the higher level classes. The aspect of Rhinebeck that I don't like is the student body. Since there are no feeder schools into the middle or high school, the kids you grew up with are the same kids you're going to school with now. Towards the end of high school, it becomes really hard to branch out and meet new people when you and your friends drift apart. However, if you were to move to Rhinebeck in the middle of high school this lack of diversity wouldn't be as frustrating since you wouldn't have known the kids all your life.

My favorite part of Rhinebeck is that you are able to form connections with teachers who you really like! I have loved getting to know my English teachers. And having good teacher connections makes finding a teacher to write you a genuine letter of recommendation much easier.
