Rhinebeck Senior High School Reviews
Rating 3.49 out of 5 76 reviews
Rhinebeck High school is part of a tight knit community. One of the best parts was growing up along side kids i’ve known since kindergarten. Due to the small class size, I really felt like teachers and students could have more of a connection and one on one time. Along with the benefits of having a small class, there are also negatives. The negatives being that it’s hard to branch out and improve social skills. A second negative is that administration is very strict. The principal was rumored to be very hard to work with regarding student council issues and ideas. Overall, I had a positive experience in my four years at Rhinebeck High school.
Rhinebeck High School provides a small, intimate learning experience. For the most part, the teachers are very intelligent, prepared, and involved in their students learning environment and journey. A downside is that the diversity is very poor, with the majority of students being upper/middle class Caucasians. It fosters a close knit environment where each grade has known everyone (for the most part) since elementary school. In recent years, school spirit has also been sub-par, as a certain administrator has set limits on events that many other schools have the privilege of participating in.
Despite being a small school, RHS provides numerous opportunities and resources to it's students. The only issue is that as a small school, you can't always take the courses you want. An important thing to note is the compassion of both the students and the faculty. RHS creates a safe and friendly environment for any student to learn.
