my school experience was great. i played a year of jv soccer and 2 years of varsity. i also was in the alpha achievers club.
My experience at Reservoir high school was average because some councilors won't write recommendations for you or they won't send them on time. Some of the teachers actually taught kids others just threw work their way and didn't explain how to do it. None of the student facilities actually cared about if students came to school high or drunk. The facility would rather be on you if your skipping class than actually seeing what's going on in the building or school bathrooms. But the school does care about your education just not as much as they should. The thing I would like to change is to make sure all students are at school safe because for me I can't even trust my school with something happening. I would also make sure there are more clubs for LGBTQ+ members and that there is a female alpha achievers program or where females can join the males.
I like how friendly the staff was and how helpful they were. The teachers always checked on you and they also made sure you were on track. They let you turn in late assignments if needed.
Reservoir High School is an overall great school. They provide students with many opportunities to succeed through sports, clubs, and academic aid. The majority of the teachers truly care for the students and their well-being, which prompts them more success. The school does have its flaws such as scandals and drama, but I had a great experience there.
I enjoyed my experience at Reservoir High School. The administration and faculty are supportive. I wish there was better mental health help for students.
Reservoir High School seems to care about the students well-being, learning, and overall how their feeling daily. There could be more appealing ways to persuade students to participate in school activities.
The environment of the school is outstanding! Staying in tune with the sports, clubs, and more will create an even better experience at this school. The staff is amazing, they work hard on making sure all the students succeed and to make sure they are well mentally and physically.
Pretty normal highschool. The teachers, for the most part, are good and nice. The music department is very supporting and fun. There are a good variety of clubs.
I loved it. I had an amazing education and I made lifelong friends. I was able join several clubs and organizations that helped me grow as a person.
There were really good teachers but the students were not good. I think I learned a lot but sometimes students prevented me from being able to completely learn everything I needed. I also think there could have been more out-of-class resources for students to use in every subject. Did not seem to care about mental health of students.
Reservoir is a very inclusive and diverse school with a positive culture that I have really enjoyed over the past 4 years.
great school with amazing Diversity don’t wonder about not fitting into place somewhere in the school there’s a perfect fit for you very nice stuff willing to do anything and everything to help students succeed
I like that it is diverse and the wide range of classes offered are moderately competitive. The teachers are also very helpful and engaged with the students.
I’m a sophomore at Reservoir, and I really like it here. Reservoir offers a wide variety of classes with various levels of rigor, so everyone should able to find classes at their level. There are so many electives, to the point that it can be almost overwhelming when trying to choose classes. One thing that I really like is the attention paid to college readiness. Reservoir offers access to a number of career-focused classes (Career Academies) both on and off-campus to help students prepare for future jobs in teaching, graphic design, animation, nursing, agriculture, and many more fields. There is also an apprenticeship program, as well as options for GT Research and Mentorship and dual enrollment at Howard Community College. The teachers seem to care about the students and are willing to help anyone who needs a little bit more than the regular classes. There are a wide variety of clubs and activities, and if you want to be in a club that doesn't exist, you can make your own!
The staff treat all the students with respect and create bonds that will last even after you graduate. As a four year student, the teachers try to help in anyway to make the lesson fun and easy to understand. The administration is always positive and keep the environment clean and safe at all times.
As a senior at Reservoir High School, I really loved the amount of diversity I was surrounded with; student life is very active with clubs, sports, and theater arts. From my experience, teachers were always very supportive and stayed after school to help tutor and reinforce the material, and there are many opportunities to expand educational awareness. Even though this school year is online, many teachers and staff are putting in so much effort to make students comfortable and encourage a safe, honest learning environment. Reservoir does its best to prepare you for college and rigorous AP courses are definitely taught well by these experienced teachers.
I like the overall environment and school building. The teachers are also in general, pretty good. I think the food and school materials/supplies could be of higher quality. I also think that the bathrooms could be upgraded/kept cleaner.
