RTHS focuses on all aspects of education and student life, aspects of the school with which I have grown to love and greatly appreciate. I have learned how to effectively work and collaborate with people who have different backgrounds and views than my own. Because of small class sizes, I have had the opportunity to receive one-on-one teacher support both inside and outside the classroom. I have explored my interests both in class and in student life. Although RTHS is a STEM based school, participation in arts and athletics is also encouraged. Students are given opportunities to start clubs, and to pursue university and industry partnerships. My classes have been taught using a variety of instructional models and I have discovered how to learn and thrive in a variety of environments, both individually and collaboratively. Attending RTHS has been a truly wonderful experience encouraging learning and growth in education and student life. I am proud to call myself a RTHS raptor!

STEM with new ideas, just need work implementing them. Teachers and administration stress too much on certain problems and not enough on others. The PLP gives students independence but has only seen it twice implemented properly in the soon to be 4 years I have been here. I give credit to the wonderful teachers being Ms. Godwin and Ms. Stokes for giving a good year in the PLP. Students deserve freedom in the PLP, but it needs that sweet spot to where the students have the freedom, but the teacher has control. Having teacher to teacher communication between subjects to create a better curriculum in the PLP that the students can follow in a more universal sense would help a lot I feel. Finally, the PLP is REALLY REALLY stressful and difficult to work within the world of college applications and has every senior in the school losing years in their life so fast, we might as well be actual senior citizens The school has good ideas and good intentions, just please fix the PLP.
This school provides a unique learning experience using the PLP, an online learning platform that allows students to learn at their own pace. RTHS has many great extracurricular activities, including the State-Winning Robotics team and many great sports teams. The teachers are also very nice and are always there to help when needed.
