With it being a small school it is nice to constantly have support. Teachers are constantly supportive and offering any extra help. The only problem I think they have as a whole is maintaining staff for a long period of time. I think that many of the teachers often run into conflict with one individual who has a higher power and leave. Otherwise a great school.
I have lived in the Republic County School District my whole life. I do enjoy the school but I have some issues involving how the school is ran. I am very involved in my school. I play three sports and am involved in eight of the ten clubs in this school. I have a say in much of what happens in this school but as for what the administration does is out of my reach. I just don't believe that the administration helps kids like they should. I have seen many situations where punishment is unfairly made. In some situations where punishment is needed, there is none given but in other situations, no punishment is needed but is given. I believe our school would be more improved if the administration could understand priorities. I know I am just a student but I believe we could do better.
I would say Republic County Junior/ Senior High School is an average school. There is a lot of bullies and drugs in our school not a lot of the teachers know or they go along with the bullies.
The staff and teachers are very friendly and teach in a way that students can understand. A bond has recently been passed and there will be many improvements coming within the next couple of years. It is definitely a school where parents can send their children and they will be protected and cared for.
The school itself is great. Getting involved in activities is super easy, and they definitely help you develop as an individual. The teachers are willing to help as long as the student is willing to put the effort in. What I would like to see improve is the school's tendency to show favor towards some organizations and not others. So, I would like to see the school show more equality towards all organizations.
Many different opportunities are offered at this school. There is a sport for everyone, activity or club. This way everyone can be involved.
What makes this school so unique is how small we are and how close we can come together for time of need or excitement. I would definitely do it all over again.
The teachers, for the most part, do their very best to teach the material to every student.
The school is small. Funding is not where it once was. But this school district is fighting, and doing everything necessary in keeping this school alive and successful.
Our school and community support sports more than many small community schools. Unfortunately, the athletics and may not compete the best; but our school is significantly the most passionate with support. The facilities have not received upgrades in a while; other than our basketball gymnasium.
Because this school is smaller, many class opportunities are not offered as much as larger schools. With that being said, teachers are forced to achieve more than necessary at times. That is not a negative completely because our teachers are willing to do so, but there are moments where the teachers become very overwhelmed.
My high school makes the most out of the small school district obtained. Therefore, all administration and staff have no tolerance for any disrespectful, inappropriate, and unnecessary acts of any kind. This is in an attempt of making this school as successful a learning environment as possible.
Our school does not possess any difficulties with any of these topics. Being a small school, students have the opportunity in participating in a number of clubs and organizations that United States School District 109 (USD 109) has to offer. The only peer pressure that may occur appears from intimidated underclassmen meeting experienced upperclassmen in any situation. USD 109's diversity is not very diverse, as well as with sexual orientation. Therefore, those issues arise on rare occassions.
Republic Country Junior/Senior High School may not be a large school, however regularly possesses a warm educating atmosphere. What makes RCJr/SrHS uniques is because of its small size, the local community plays a big part in school activities. From attending a concert, to traveling to Manhattan, KS for state basketball, support always shows. Though school updates do not occur very often, establishing friendships, and sparking discussions with faculty and staff are the least of one's problems here.
