Renner is way too overcrowded with around 250 students over maximum capacity. One class of mine had 30 students together with a teacher crammed into a room. As you transition to subsequent classes you are likely to be bumped and pushed around since there's absolutely no space in the narrow hallways. Overcrowding really fosters a negative environment where students constantly attempt to one up each other. Fights remain relatively rare, but students can get away with a lot. The worst department at Renner by far is English, since all you will learn are elementary-level grammar principles and little else. Although the institution is diverse, it's moderately racially segregated as well. White and Asian kids are in honors, black kids in on-level, and Venezuelans in ESL classes.
Renner Middle is one of the best schools in the Plano School District. I've have been here for seventh and eight grade year. There are various activites; such as PAL(peer assasistance and leadership).Which is a group of 8th graders that help with students that need special education and mentor elementary students. Another program at this school is Diamond Club is a girl group focused on building self esteem, team building and community service. At one point in my middle school life , my grades were not at to par, but now that i attend Renner Middle my grades went out through the roof. Renner is a great school to attend.
Renner has helped me get my grades up a lot and they gave me an excellent learning experience. The staff and teachers at Renner are very kind and are amazing at their job. In 6th grade my grades weren't very well because the curriculum was completely different for me because I had recently moved from Mansfield. In 7th grade it was when my grades started o show progress in math and history I went from 70's-90's in science and english I went from 80's - 90's. The teachers here are amazing and have been a huge help. Since 7th grade my grades have been wonderful. Social life is pretty good but since of course it's middle school there is quite some drama but my friends are amazing and I could ask for better ones. I am involved in cheer, a club, and NJHS. Reiner has provided me many great things and I'm very thankful.
