Renaissance High School Reviews
Rating 4.13 out of 5 323 reviews
Renaissance High is an excellent school for academically-motivated students. From the renowned International Baccalaureate program to the ISU AA program, students have the full support behind them of everybody from faculty to administration. There is not a better Idaho high school for college preparation! Renaissance also has great facilities - it is designed to reflect many aspects of a college with open ceilings and tables+chairs throughout.
With that said, Renaissance is not without its flaws. Some are turned off by the lack of athletics at RHS, which is understandable. The school allows student athletes to compete with their boundary schools, but it's simply a different experience than the other athletes. The culture at RHS is very, very progressive and some may not be comfortable with that aspect either. Some students report feeling left out or even disliked if they do not fit in with this culture. It is something to consider.
Hope this helps!

At renaissance High School, you are challenged at every moment, whether it's putting your academic skills to the test or molding you into a risk taker, this school doesn't fail to make you a strong student. One element I appreciated the most about my school were the teachers, as they are always willing to put down what they are doing in the moment in order to see their student strive and achieve the beyond. Each and every one of them are there to make us shine and achieve what we thought we couldn't. I've never been more proud to say that I go to Renaissance, this is truly a great school. If I had to say something that could change, I would suggest the stress level. Many of the students there put themselves at such a high place that we eventually burn ourselves out trying to stay up there. Other then that, this school is amazing!
I absolutely love the atmosphere at Renaissance! When they told me there would be no cliques I didn't believe them, but it's true! Sure, there are best friend groups, but really, everyone is friends with everyone here. It's a special feeling to know that no matter what, here at Renaissance, we're all just a bunch of nerds who want to have fun while reaching for our goals. Forget about making a mark on the world, we're going to mold the entire thing into the future. The only draw back, I must admit, is that since we are all trying to do so much at such a young age, the majority of people here silently suffer from mental health issues. And those don't get addressed in school often as there really isn't a way around it for those determined to stay - for better or worse. For the most part though, said issues are can be dealt with with the support of friends and those who know what it feels like to go here - which is every student at Renaissance.
