My experience going here is that the underclass men always get the better stuff. Once you move out of that grade that put something in place for that grade. The school tend to care about uniforms too much. They have some fun activities to do. The people here are good. They are good at getting you ready for college. I wish for my younger classmates that they take in more consideration about mental health and stress.
I love my school it’s ranked in the top 20 in my state, the overall experience is great from the learning to teachers to my peers !
Such an amazing environment to be around. All staff members and teachers go out of their way to make it a safe school.
Renaissance High School has provided a great experience for me while attending. I chose to be a student here when I heard how the work is rigorous and challenging, and it definitely met that expectation.
Renaissance High School is not only a great school to learn academics, but also a great area to learn life lessons and mature into a young adult. The memories that can be made are endless, there are funny moments, sad moments, happy moments and those memories will stick with you for life and once you graduate, you will miss the little things that made high school great and the people that you meet.
I liked the rigor of the courses offered, the the sense of community I experienced during my time there. I wish there were more courses for fine arts offered though.
The overall high school is a good place to learn. Some of the staff is considerate and then some are not. The academic scores are high. Sport scores are somewhat high.
It’s ok, It’s not a very large school, everything overall to me is decent. Nothing to special, nothing too bad.
Renaissance High School is in Detroit, Michigan. The thing I like about Renaissance High School is the basketball program that I participate in. It prepared me to be a better student-athlete.
Academically, it is very good. The Administration is not the best, but the teachers are very good, they care and work with you.
My high school never failed to challenge me and push me to be the best I can be. All of my teachers had high expectations and genuinely cared about my education and growth. Sadly, sometimes it would be hard to contact people, and get information about upcoming events and opportunities.
Renaissance High school is a great school. It helps a student be prepared for the collegiate life, and it helps them become a better person.
The school has an excellent educational learning program. I've learned a lot within the four years I've been there. The staff is friendly and highly professional. The teachers are all well educated and have the skills to make learning easy and fun.
I have a love hate relationship with my experience at Renaissance. The academics are mostly great. I've had hard teachers that I actually appreciated a lot because I felt I was actually learning rather than just trying to get an A for my GPA. Other times, coming to school is a drag and it's hard to find motivation. Sometimes, administration tries to make efforts to keep students interested. Then there are some times where the communication between the and the student body and teachers prevents a good flow within the school, it feels kind of separated.
Renaissance will give you a very strong education that is very challenging to get. The workload is very heavy which can make it very stressful. I would like to change the teachers' teaching methods as well as the way the curriculum is set up in the textbooks.
Renaissance high school is a special place for me. High school is where you develop ideas and mature into a young adult. At renaissance I am challenged mentally, and these challenges have changed me into a critical thinking young adult.
Renaissance High School has various clubs featuring chess, swimming, and band. I joined the chess club and made new friends and went out of Detroit to participate in national tournaments. I've been in the chess club from the 9th grade to the 11th grade. I've also met another friend that likes similar things as me such as video games. We would work on class projects and talk at lunch. Renaissance High School is a great place to make new friends, but students still have to work, with pages of homework and project. One of my teachers were very strict and needed an essay that follow the rubric exactly. One thing that I would want to change is the amount of work we receive. I'm still responsible for completing to work, but I just want to have less work so it won't be too overwhelming.
