I love many aspects of Memorial including the dedication of our various teachers and the high academic standards of students. I would change the amount of praise that sports teams get if I could. Many art programs including Drama Club and marching band put just as much time into the simplicity of competition, and arts get far less praise than any sport. I would also change the way religious services are dumb at Memorial. I would make them a recommendation rather than a requirement. I also think that students should be allowed to carry backpacks around school. I understand the anxiety that comes with a simple thing, but giving them to the students would relieve far more anxiety than it would cause.

Reitz Memorial High School has challenged me to grow academically and spiritually during my 3 years of attendance so far. I feel that Memorial has helped to prepare me very well for college and life outside of high school by teaching academic integrity, leadership skills, and helping me to develop a virtuous attitude. All students and faculty are very kind and every student is given ample opportunity to excel through clubs, sports, and other extracurricular activities provided.
