My overall experience with Reidsville Middle School is when my oldest son attend there from 2012-2015 which they set him up for failure. By sticking him in a regular ed setting classroom instead of putting him in a self-contained classroom setting that was base on his needs and his IEP and his reevaluation test scores that he had done on him from the schools that he attended in Greensboro NC. They did not go by his IEP rather they though they had his best interest of where they needed to place him when we told them that he could not function in a reg. ed classroom setting because of the grade level that he was on.
Reidsville Middle School is a great school. The administration is great and really tries to help you make it to high school. The teachers are also good at preparing students for high school.
Our food at our school is fairly good. We sometimes have the same food item twice in the same week. I wish we had more food items to choose from, and change the food up as well.
We all have resources available to us. We have library time, and time to meet with the teachers. We all have set buildings like English, Art, and Business.
Our staff tries to show the students the right paths to follow. They also do not allow certain things, and they must be followed. We all have to follow a dress code, and they do not tolerate no bullying at all. They also have attendance policies as well. They make sure that every students knows what they need to do and follow.
My school do not tolerate any bullying at all. They strive to make sure every student feels safe and secured. We have a police officer who is always at the school if we need him to help out with anything. We have clubs like SADD which is trying to show to not drive and text, and live a healthy life. The school nurse will always try her best to help any student who needs her. I believe I am safe at my school because we have a friendly staff, and police officer.
From my ninth grade year to my twelfth have been a cool experience. I have gained so much knowledge and learned to be more mature. Most of the teachers here are very nice, and friendly. I love doing out of school activities because it's a extra advantage. This may not be the best school, but we do have our pride. We try to do better than what we did last year. I would choose this school again because the teachers and staff actually care about the students that come in the school.
