Reid Ross Classical was a small school that focuses on academics embrassing the arts. It has many nurturing and involved teachers. My time there was enjoyable and because of an excellent faculty we’ve had 100% of our seniors graduate year after year. Those who apply for colleges get in with no problem because Reid Ross has such an outstanding history. Though it did lack sports and homecoming when I was attending, which many of us didn’t enjoy, and had a uniform dress code, which we also didn’t like very much, I think all of that pushed us to be more focused academically. I've been at Reid Ross since the 6th grade. While I am attending Reid Ross goes through varies changes. From uniform to varies principals and being a year round school to slowly turning to a regular school. Despite the changes at Ross good things have happened such as spectacular pep rally's more, involvement towards special holidays such as black history month and 9/11. Overall Reid Ross is not a bad school.
Overall I have had a great experience at RRCS. I have been at Ross since the 6th grade so the class of 2020 is pretty much family. We all know each other from the 6th grade or even before that. This makes the social aspect of high school with then easier than others. The administration at Ross is also considered apart of this school wide family. We often hang out on the counselor's office which happens to be right next door to our favorite assistant principal's office. We come whenever and for what ever. from coming to our counselor for advice about a class or college admission to just cracking jokes and laughing together. Its definitely a warm environment that I'd recommend to upcoming middle and high schoolers.
