Great teachers who want to see you succeed. Outstanding, proven athletic programs. Welcoming and friendly community.
Regina Catholic Education Center is a great learning environment that allows one to create a bond with each student and teacher due to a smaller than average class sizes. Although oriented around the Catholic faith, don't mistake this for a strict, religious school. Just as every other high school, Regina offers similar classes and extracurricular activities to please each student. With great traditions, and excelling not only in academics but also sports and arts, Regina is a great place for a person to develop.
Regina has provided a solid educational experience for our child. The teachers go above and beyond to make sure the students are challenged and learning what they need to that will help them succeed at their next level. They also have a deep level of caring and compassion for each student - we have been amazed at the level of support and community...it is so strong here. There are many opportunities to get involved in multiple activities - arts, athletics, clubs and service. There is truly something for anyone. We feel very comfortable with the level of building safety and security and are impressed with the high level of integrity among the students finding /returning lost items. We would encourage anyone seeking a positive educational experience to look closer at Regina!
A pretty decent school. Most people are very welcoming and nice, and you can tell the teachers actually care about the students
Very nice and welcoming school. The teachers are so friendly and supportive, the students are mature and hardworking. Even as an Atheist I felt welcome at Regina
I did not have the most healthy experience going to Regina as the culture of Catholicism was often forced onto students and controversial topics were not always handled well by administrators.
Our Spanish department is as top-of-the-line as you get. Amazing teachers who are very willing to help the students in need. The lunches can be very hit-or-miss, but there are some amazing lunches every once in a while. Sports programs take priority over the arts, unfortunately. Regina shines in its sports and academics though, so I would definitely recommend it for those reasons. The diversity at Regina has increased greatly in the past few years. Regina has a tightly knit community that allows everyone to know everybody else. If necessary teachers are very accommodating of students. Regina has better academics than just about any other public school in the area. I would definitely recommend Regina!
Very small and close community, welcoming to all new students. Lots of opportunities to go out for different sports which you don't get at a public school.
What I liked about Regina is that it allowed me to learn more about my faith. Most of the teachers truly care about me and want to see me succeed. It's a smaller school so you know pretty much everyone there. Some things I didn't like about Regina is the fact that I felt like some kids were pushed through the system by teachers and the administration because of pressure from parents. There's not a ton of options as far as classes go but they do try to find online classes for you to take if you are interested in a specific subject.
I switched to Regina at the end of my sophomore year. I enjoyed the school and the people. There are definitely clicks and if you don’t find one it can feel hard to fit in. However my experience has been enjoyable. Getting involved in sports is very helpful and a good experience for new friends. Overall I like Regina.
I like the fact that it is a small community, you know everyone, and you get a lot of one-on-one with teachers, however, they do not offer as many courses as public school and the administration could be better.
The teachers at Regina care about their students' success and work hard every day to help each student reach their goal. You have to really try to fail in order to because the teachers are always trying to help you when your grades slip. The atmosphere around the school is always so positive that it's hard to not smile each day I come to school. I would recommend going to Regina for everyone.
My experience at Regina Catholic Education Center was wonderful. The teachers who work there are amazing and are always willing to take time out of there busy schedules to help their students. The facilities are extremely nice, and there is a multitude of resources to help you achieve your best academically.
The Regina Catholic Education center is great with personalized education. Teachers genuinely care about students and creating an environment where all students may thrive.
Regina has teachers that care about you very much and they want to see you succeed. They have a lot of opportunities to get involved in sports, clubs and activities. Some class sizes are too big and I would like to see a larger chapel.
Regina Catholic Education Center is a great school. It is Kindergarten through 12th Grade. There is a huge community and it is like one big family.
The teachers at Regina are only here to prepare you for schools in Iowa. For this reason, 80% of graduates AT LEAST go to Iowa, Iowa State, Kirkwood, or Northern Iowa. There is little to no diversity at this school. The fine arts programs get almost no support from the school and have to fund everything mostly by themselves, while sports get favoritism. The families that have been here for generations get priority over everyone else, and students can be rude and disrespectful.
