Regent provides an amazing education experience. The students are surrounded by faculty of various Christian denominations, giving them an unbiased look at Christianity. The curriculum is more challenging than a public school would be, because of the level of reading that the school's literature choices have brought us to, and the detail with which math and history are taught. Additionally, the students are well prepared for the senior thesis experience by countless writing assignments. The school is small which provides for a great sense of community with all the students and teachers.
I have had an impactful experience at Regent that I am almost certain I would not be able to find anywhere else. Not only have I been challenged academically and been taught at a high level, but my character has been challenged as well. Regent not only provides a classical education but instills moral character in their students, cultivating virtue. Because of the classical curriculum, I have had the opportunity to be exposed to the great ancient philosophers such as Plato and Aristotle, engage in classical literature, and take classes such as Theology and Rhetoric. Although the curriculum is impressive, it is the people that make the school so unique. Teachers are truly interested in ensuring that each one of their students is developed as a man/ woman of God, and have an enthusiasm for the material they are teaching. Students are kind to each other, inclusive, and uplifting, my classmates will be some of my lifelong friends. The community is spectacular.
It's a great school, I love going there. The teachers are all very nice and knowledgeable. The student body is diverse, and everyone is kind to each other. The classes are we prepared and prepares you well for college.
