Refugio is one of the proudest schools I have ever been too. I love seeing my class support every grade, and how every teacher is willing to jump in and help every student. The academics and athletics are some of the best I know. During Hurricane Harvey the school opened its athletic facility to everyone who needed a place to stay. Our football boys stayed during the horrific storm and soon after rallied everyone in the town and lifted up everyone’s spirits. School pride is the absolute most amazing aspect of this school along with the clubs and sports we offer. I’m proud to be graduating as a Refugio Bobcat! GO CATS GO!
There is a lot of walking because they decided to put some of the middle school classes on the high school campus and some of the high school classes in the middle school campus. The teacher don’t teach half of the time. The school is interested more in sports than academics.
My experience in Refugio High School has been amazing. Throughout my high school career my teachers have taught me so many lessons inside and outside the classroom. The school environment has been a positive one, if there has ever been trouble we are equipped with amazing staff and resources to helped us solve any problems we may have.
