Reeths-Puffer High School is an overall fantastic school but most definitely has it down falls. I can proudly say that I have made some long lasting friends, made great relationships with teachers, and most the staff is fantastic and helpful. Academically, Reeths-Puffer is a great school for a wide range of and type of student. They offer lower classes for kids in need or with learning disabilities, to advanced classes like college prep. I would most definitely recommend my home school to anyone looking for a school for their child.
I like the inclusivity and the teachers, however, they could use protocols in place for discipline and dealing with issues such as bullying.
Reeths-Puffer is a trashy school. The students are some of the worst people I have met. Bullying seems normalized and the staff turn a blind eye to it. I’ve seen foreign exchange students be bullied everyday which is disgusting. It seems like a majority of the students smoke and/or vape, or have at some point. A lot of students are unmotivated and don’t really care about learning. This also is most likely why most school sports fail. The fine arts program does not represent this school at all. They are the most successful thing this school has. The best part about the high school will forever be our principal. He is the happiest person anyone will meet.
Very big school, easy to navigate around. Friendly environment, top teachers and education tools for your students
Reeths Puffer is a very big High School but our principal, Dan Beckman, still took the lime to learn everyone's name. Also everyone in thew school is very dedicated to school spirit!
There are lots of teachers at Reeths-Puffer that do not teach very well. If one student gets the topic then the teacher will just move on to the next thing. There were multiple times where the whole class would do poorly on a test and instead of helping us understand the topic the teacher would blame it on us for not asking for more help when we had.
Reeths-Puffer is an amazing school. The staff is absolutely wonderful and they always have the students best interests in mind.
I attended the Reeths-Puffer school district from kindergarten all the way until graduation. I found the school to have a very pleasant atmosphere and I always had a great time while I was there. They have taken extreme measures to ensure safety for their students, which some might seem to be over the top. But I believe they are doing the right thing in order to promote safety in their school. They care deeply about the success of their students and I loved being a part of a district like that. I greatly enjoyed being a Reeths-Puffer student.
Reeths-Puffer has a great spread of classes and programs that can be taken for any and all interests. They work hard to continue to offer music and arts programs even when the rest of the schools are having to cut them out.
I loved Reeths Puffer that staff there is so kind and helpful. The teachers were wonderful and I enjoyed having them.
Reeths-Puffer is a very standard high school. Like all schools, it has its highs and lows- the good and bad teachers (and everything else). I would like to see the education reformed (and not teach directly out of a workbook), and I would like to have the teachers teach for the sake of learning, not just memorize facts for some test.
My 4 years spent at Reeths-Puffer High School were irreplaceable. I made some of the greatest memories of my life there and met friends that will last forever. The teachers and staff are extremely helpful with anything a student may need. Whether it be academic help or a personal struggle a student is going through. The teachers are very qualified and do their job to the best of their ability and excel at it. I wouldn't change my 4 years as a Rocket for anything.
very positive school, teachers are willing to stay after hours and help students who are struggling, and are very accepting towards others.
I feel that when you never change schools, you tend to complain about that one school, many students did this. I enjoyed my experience. I was in clubs, went to the Tech Center, and had a lot of control over my schedule because I took High School credit courses before high school. I wish the arts were funded more, but that is usually where people make cuts first. Lunches were good with many options ranging from salads, to pizza, to burgers and fries, and daily rotation. Staff is friendly and helpful for the most part.
The fine arts programs are amazing. Really teach the students how to be confident and work as a team.
Reeths-Puffer is an amazing school that gives you many experiences and gives you their ability to learn, laugh, and have fun while also pursuing your education. Reeths-Puffer could change many things but what school couldn't. As the years go on the progression of the school has also improved. The community around the school is changing and the people in it are changing with it.
I transferred to the Reeths-Puffer School District in third grade and continued to attend until I graduated in 2017. Previously I attended an arts academy which instilled a strong love for visual and performing arts in me. Reeths-Puffer was a great school to transition to because of their equal love for the arts. The theatre, choir, and band programs are all absolutely incredible. The directors are attentive, passionate and very educated in what they do. Many of the teachers I had were personable and very helpful. I received help applying to colleges and for scholarships from multiple faculty members. There is a lack of mental health related help but it is being worked on. The sports programs are put together but receive special treatment from faculty occasionally.
