RVHS is a great high school, the teachers are amazing and they have a wide variety of academic programs to get you ready for college.
I have been going to Redwood Valley Senior High School for 3 years now. I really enjoy the freedom they give you and how they let you make your own decisions. The teachers are super caring and helpful even outside of school hours. They are willing to come in early or stay late to help you with something you don't understand. I believe that Redwood Valley becomes better each year. They just added a new career center. That will benefit so many kids. All around the school is very welcoming and enjoyable.
The school has a very well structured education curriculum that is designed to help students prepare for college, which it does extremely well. The staff work with students often, and do genuinely care about their students. The school could have better administration, but the staff on the teacher level are very good at what they do, with the resources they have at their disposal.
It’s a wonderful school with wonderful faculty staff. It’s just that I had a hard time in school because of who I was surrounded by. Plus the system of the school was non stop changing for me while I was here so I couldn’t really adapt to anything. One thing I would love to see changed is just how the students interact with each other. I would love to see no cliche at all.
I like the diversity and support from teachers. One thing I would change is the involvement of students. There are a lot of students that are not even involved in sprots or extra curricular.
I loved my time at Redwood Valley High School. I was a challenging student, but all of the teachers really tried to get through to me. I go back to Redwood Valley often, and was able to mend and create relationships with the staff.
Every one at the school works hard to send people on there way knowing they can accomplish anything and knowing that you will be ready for What comes at you!
Redwood Valley Senior High School has brought many opportunities for me to explore my interest in future careers. The school has amazing support and connection with the local businesses in town. This makes it very easy for students to find work and help the community with services projects. We appreciate our community and try to better it every day. GO CARDS!
Overall experience good. New career center has been built and technical trades and careers is becoming a big focus for the school and community. Very good. There are several activities the students can choose from and there are more opportunities every year.
I started off as a shy kid who hated school, but throughout the four years that I spent at RVHS I grew into a sociable (sometimes loud) person who is okay with being put into stressful situations and working with people of all kinds. Going to school at RVHS was a great experience for me because I met a lot of people, learned a lot, and gained real connections with peers and teachers through my academics, sports, and FFA activities. The people that I worked with on a daily basis helped me realize what I wanted to do with my life following my years at the high school, and helped me feel more prepared to enter the world as a young adult.
I thought the school was alright, but they need to fire and hire some newer teachers. They didn’t really have a huge diversity with the classes provided.
My experience with Redwood Valley High School have been amazing, the facilites are really nice and they help you succed for your future. Through out my years so far have been really good and I really love Redwood not just cause of the sport activities and many clubs that they have have changed my life throught my years of that I have been here.
Overall, a great school. There are some very new, innovative things happening at this school like a new stem careers center, standards-based grading, and many others. I feel, as a student, that the administration actively seeks out new ways to make the student experience as well as the school overall better. Facilities are constantly being improved and renovated. New bathrooms have been installed recently and a whole new "wing" to the school is to be added next year for stem career classes. Yes, the school has a few downfalls, but what school doesn't? The academic performance is not the greatest but the administration has been actively looking for ways to improve scores.
It’s an amazing school with great, caring staff and students who welcome people with an amazing warm environment. When moving there my 7th grade year I was nervous, going from a much larger school to a much smaller populated school. My worries were in vain for I instantly made great friends and found that everyone there is so friendly and really have others best interests at heart! The staff does their very best to make sure each student feels welcome and safe. Not only that, but they teach with such enthusiasm you can’t help but love what you’re learning about. The passion amongst the staff is palpable. I would recommend this school very highly to any single person who asked. It’s an amazing town and is lucky to have such an amazing school like Redwood Valley High.
The A.P. and honor courses were very engaging and challenging. It prepared me for college and I am thankful for the various opportunities that I got to experience during my high school career. The technology department is awesome and all of the students were given Chromebooks to use for classes. The music department at Redwood Valley is one of the best. The directors are very serious about their jobs and strive to improve the students technique and sound. The clubs and organizations help develop the student's skill sets, such as networking and teamwork. Which are skills that are essential when they start college and their careers.
The high school is the biggest in size and population in the area. It has the nicest facilities and equipment, but not great. Most of the teachers I have had there are amazing, some are not. The upper administration and counsellor are very rude and I personally, along with many others have had very negative experiences with them. Redwood get little to no breaks for anything (no spring break, little to no long weekends, and short holiday breaks). There is no diversity in race, religion, ect. The clubs and sports are fine. Overall Redwood is nothing special and it was a waste of time and energy for 4 years.
Redwood Valley was a great high school to be apart of. The teacher are always very helpful and kind along with the students and other staff. I feel that they gave me wonderful skills that I could use during college. They taught me study skills, time management, and problem solving. Also, being apart of the basketball, volleyball, and softball teams taught me team work and dedication.
