The teachers and staff are great. Students are friendly and accepting. Online during Covid has been difficult.
Overall, RHS is a great school. There’s lots of sports and clubs opportunities and the teachers are great! The only thing I wish was different is how the inside of the school looks. I wish there was more color or things to make it more unique and not just plain walls.
Many teachers are welcoming and supportive. They will always push you to be better not only as a student but as a person. The extracurricular activities are also very good because the staff who work in them are super supportive. One thing i would change would be how assemblies worked. We need them to be more hyped up.
Redmond Highschool is a small community Highschool that is a very close nit school. Everyone knows everyone and it comes as a bonus when in your high school years! The teachers are awesome and they know every ones names and make you feel important everyday that you walk in there!
Teachers were great and they helped me actually prepare for college by giving me the proper resources for it.
The school is overall good, could use some work to improve the educational side of things. The athletic coaches are amazing and they make sure that player development is a possiblity. They strive to make sure that players and other coaches are constantly learning and that players know that they are important. Something else that the school could work on would be school spirit. The school for years has lacked school spirit which is huge at the high school level and important to all students at this school but it seems as if it is not valued.
My experience with Redmond High was very good. I got sick prior to going to high school, the school helped me navigate the challenges that popped up including hiring a tutor to come out during my last two years when I was unable to physically attend my classes. The school had little diversity in race and religion as far as I am aware. The school and students during my time attending were anti bullying and seemed to be very inclusive. The location was ideal being next to two coffee places, three food establishments and one store within close walking distance. They offered many classes including photography, Photoshop, mechanical classes, agricultural classes and many other diverse electives.
Redmond High School provides a safe environment where students can feel free to learn and grow into a mature young adult.
Adminisration is super strict. The school cares a lot about your attendance and not your learning. There are a lot of cliches , and that makes it really hard for most people to fit in and feel welcome.
Redmond High School doesn't care about their students well being. The only good part about school is some of the teachers that work here. The teachers are the ones who push us to accomplish our dreams. Our administration only cares about getting paid, they don't ever want to do paperwork or do the right thing.
At Redmond High School my favorite thing was always wrestling. I really enjoyed the experience. There was great coaches and team members. The school itself isn't so great though. Most teachers don't care about the students. In my experience the teachers could care less about the students unless they were teachers kids or kids that really sucked up the the teachers. Also the administration is out to get every kid. They aren't there to help they just find the smallest ways to get kids in trouble and they punish them. I get that kids mess up and should get punished for their actions but at redmond high school it is a bit excessive.
My experience at Redmond High School has been very good, I liked how they had many different program's to lean about college.I really enjoyed doing expanded options which is a program where you can go to college while attending high school and they pay for it .
Redmond High School is very diverse in the courses that are offered. They have CTE (Career Technical Education) classes such as automotive, welding, woodshop, and agriculture classes. They also offer a variety of sports, and they have Future Farmers of America, which is an amazing agriculture organization where you can learn public speaking skills, go to leadership conventions, meet the Oregon legislature, and become involved with a livestock project. Students also are able to take financial and personal finance classes to at Redmond High.
I have had a pretty good experience at RHS. Most of the staff/teachers are awesome and the classes are typically pretty fun. The school does lack in a few ways. The most concerning of which is the lack of after-high school prep. The requirement for the senior portfolio are minimal and not very useful and there aren’t that many AP courses. On the plus side, the majority of the staff are pretty wonderful! My Spanish, Math, and History teachers truly cared about me and even the ones I don’t have anymore still know me and talk to me. The relationship between students and staff are always pretty amazing. One math teacher in particular had such a wonderful teaching style that I realized I actually like math. Now I’m going into college next year for an engineering discipline! Overall I’d say that the school is still pretty great and treats it’s students pretty well.
I love Redmond High School. The staff and students have always played a fairly significant role in my life. I've been involved in sports and advanced leadership, and it has made my high school experience at Redmond High the best. I love how nice all of the students are, and I love how welcoming the staff members are. I also love how involved the staff try to get in students' lives to help them be successful. With all of this admiration for Redmond High School, the only change I'd like to see is more unity between the students, more life and career based classes, and more school spirit all around.
One of the best things about RHS is that the teachers really care about getting you through school and being ready for college. However, I wish more parents were involved in school activities and planning for our Senior party.
Teachers are very nice and care about the education about their students and are always behind them to make sure they are on track.
