I transferred to Redlands East Valley High School as a sophomore in 2016 from Redlands High School. I was very impressed about how friendly the teachers were. I was also impressed by our varsity football team, considering the fact they’ve won the CIF championships multiple times and didn’t lose the rivalry game in six years. When there were false alarm threats to the school, the school took everything into consideration and made sure there was safety for the faculty and students anyways. Although the school has many perks, I wish the maintenance in the bathrooms were better and I wished the school food had more of a variety.

As a student I have thoroughly enjoyedd my high school experience at REV. What made my time at this school all the more impactful and memorable were the amazing teachers and counselors, as well as the extensive opportunities I was given to create my own personalized class schedule. I have grown to love and admire everything that this school represents, from kindness to academic excellence. I would recommend this school to any incoming high schoolers because at this school they would recieve a quality education and meet the most kind and intelligent people.
The majority of the teachers are absolutely wonderful! Security guards, however, are extremely homophobic. I am a lesbian, a girl, with a girlfriend, and we are yelled at for any pda, even just holding hands; meanwhile, straight couples, a boy and a girl, can be sitting on laps and making out as little as five feet away from us and not a word is said to them. Many students are also very homophobic, racist, ableist, etc and when reported nothing is done about it. I have had teachers call students r*tards and tell them they should be wearing helmets, again, when reported nothing is done about it. Overall this school has not led me to feel very safe.
