Red River had a great environment for everyone, no matter what you were involved with. The only reason that I didn't rate it five stars is because the students can be very selective with who they want in their group. Other than that almost every student there will be kind and want you to do your best!
This is your basic high school. I would love to say in my opinion it is worse or better than some schools, but being fairly honest everything good and bad about this averages out to make this just a normal high school. The diversity is there but rare, the academics depend on the teachers but the school does fairly well to help their students though I know a large population of the school that is not helped and is currently failing, the athletics-hockey especially- are emphasized and very competitive with the in-town rival- Central High School. I love this school with all of its quirky factors, like all high school experiences, there were significant parts I did not enjoy, yet I have thrived and come out on top and very content with my choice and perseverance to keep going hard every year I've stayed here.
The teachers here at Red River High School genuinely want you to succeed and try their hardest to make that happen. I've met multiple amazing mentors through my academics, clubs, and sports. The administration are reasonable and amicable, allowing students to feel at comfort with the leadership. The students are driven and hardworking. I have met people from very diverse backgrounds with many different life stories, and somehow our school was a perfect melting pot of these beginnings. The building itself is nice with spacious shared areas and many classrooms. Looking back at my highschool experience as I go into my senior year, I am very proud and happy to have been part of this school.
