My experience at Red Mountain has been absolutely amazing! I would not choose any other high school to attend. I truly do enjoy coming to school each day. It is so interesting to see so many different races around school everyday that passes. Especially, the foreign exchange students it is spectacular to get to know someone with such a culture difference. When students are recognized for their outstanding effort, it truly makes me feel so proud of my school. A change I would love to see is seeing more students become involved in the clubs there are to offer. It will make your high school experience filled with many more memories and benefit you in many ways as well.

As a sophomore of RMHS, I do not have any significantly negative feedback about the school. There is handfuls of opportunities, like clubs and sports. Yes, many high schools have these but Red Mountain is extremely passionate about what they offer which results in the students being passionate about and preform better than most. Personally, playing basketball and being involved in service learning clubs has majorly impacted my enjoyment of the the time I have spent there so far. Additionally, they are extremely involved in the future of their students, there are always opportunities to talk to and visit colleges. Not only that but the teachers are amazing as well. Off that note, the one thing I would like to see a change in is in the students. They are with their own generation, it is vital to treat other with more respect, understanding, patience and kindness.
The school has so many opportunities and classes ranging from Biotechnology) to Child Development, with lots of clubs. Most teachers are amazing, and the classrooms/facilities are nice. One big downfall from when I was there was that they focus mostly on sports (ESPECIALLY FOOTBALL), even though their academic teams, performing arts, etc. are very successful. Personally, I was a band kid that was in both the concert and marching bands. The bands and I were constantly bullied by the student section, to the point where our fellow students were even threatening our band parents. I've heard that with the new principal the inclusion of all activities is being more implemented, however. Overall, I feel like despite the discrimination against anything other than football, the opportunities, classes, clubs, teachers, etc. are really nice and I loved attending Red Mountain.
