I’m a recent Red Land graduate and I could not wait to leave this school because of how terrible my experience was. I will say that my teachers were excellent & I wish I could give a higher rating because of that but my other experiences here negate that. To start off with administrative is terrible. They do absolutely nothing and will gaslight you when you bring up any issues no matter how obvious they are. They say they want to promote change but do nothing to create it. Secondly the student body is terrible. It is incredibly racist to the point that I didn’t want to identify with this school in other activities. When I got to college it surprised me that I wasn’t hearing slurs everyday. I literally hid parts of my identity while at red land because I felt like there could be repercussions from students because I was different. Almost everyone is incredibly close minded and harbors harmful beliefs. The upper level classes were generally more open but the rest of the school wasn’t.
A lot of people say that they had a bad time in high school, but that is because they didn't put in the work to have a good experience. If you put in the time and effort, chances are the teachers here will notice. Athletics are hit or miss as our teams are either mediocre or terrible. However, we are part of a combined district marching band that continually performs well.
One thing I liked about my school is the teachers. The teachers are always available to help and make the classes interesting and fun. One thing I think could change is having more guidance and help with planning for college.
So sad to see a school with great facilities churn out so many damaged kids who lose their self esteem due to the amount of bullying that occurs. The teachers are clearly not given the tools to deal with the bullying. In the past students have taken their lives due to the bullying they deal with at this school. Unfortunately it is also extremely racist. If you are any color but white do not send your kids here. It is honestly worth buying a home in another town to avoid the scrutiny they will go through at this school. The teaching is subpar and does not properly prepare for college. The good teachers leave as soon as they can cause they understand how horrible this school functions. It is also a reflection of the towns indecency and lack of worldliness. Hopefully one day it changes. Also the amount of bomb threats this school receives is just ridiculous.
Teachers made sure to encourage myself and fellow students daily. I felt like I thrived in a safe environment with lots of positive attitudes from peers.
Amazing staff and teachers, miserable student body. Some of the teachers are some of the most amazing people you will have the pleasure of getting to know.
I had the best high school experience. I learned a lot from so many teachers and they got me ready for college.
Red Land is a great school! There are so many different opportunities given to students to find what they love to do. The sports teams do extremely well, the academics are great, and the music program is incredible.
The school is a safe place and they make us feel Luke a family. The school is safe and a place where you can feel safe.
The school is okay, the music programs are great, and most of the teachers care and are nice. Also, there is a school dog now so that's a plus. Online learning sucks at this school though.
I have spent time in a few other districts and West shore is one of the better ones. I have no complaints.
The staff is very nice and helpful. We also have a lot of different organizations and school clubs to be a part of. However, I would like to see the school get more school spirit. We do not have a lot of parent involvement and the culture of the school tends to be full of cliques. We also lack diversity--the majority of the school is caucasian and there is extremely little diversity.
I moved to Red Land from a different school district my freshman year so I may be a bit biased as I grew up in my other school district and still consider those kids my best friends. I feel as though Red Land has many cliques and stuck up kids. I do have to say that the staff and teachers are all so amazing and supportive. The worst thing is how the students interact with one another and do not respect the building or people around them, which is a lot compared to my other school district.
A lot of racist people. Very annoying, but the teachers are cool (mostly). I had a good experience with the teachers, but the students are actually the worst. They are ignorant, rude, disrespectful, and of course; racist. They all proudly fly confederate flags and defend it as not being racist.
News flash, Red Land:
To be patriotic, you don't have to be bigoted :)

Red Land was slowly making changers for the betterment of the students education every year that I was there. Their most recent change, giving out chrome books to the entire student body, has been unbelievably helpful to many people I know in the wake of Corvid-19, and I'm sure they will prove to be useful in the coming years. Red Land is absolutely a school in which you as much out of it as you are willing to put in, and so I would really recommend diving into sports and clubs as well as the more advanced classes, because with proactive involvement the school really shines and has a lot to offer its students. With the upward trajectory Red Land seems to be on, I'm happy to know my siblings will have an even better experience than I did.
The staff at Red Land Senior High School is like no other every person in this building want you to succeed and will go out of their way to see that happen and do what’s best for you. One thing I would like to see is the facility be better cleaned and maintained.
Red Land High School is a decent school. The teachers are very engaging and honestly care about their students. There is a wide variety of extracurricular activities and sports to become involved in. Most kids are decently friendly and there is minimal drug usage/fighting.
