Red Bank’s Primary School is a uniquely diverse, multicultural institution that doesn’t fit the mold of many of the rating systems available on the internet. Our teachers and parents are engaged and it shows in the high level of student participation in scholastic and extracurricular events. Our teachers are excellent and have won multiple awards. The schools system has been awarded the distinction of NJ DOE Lighthouse District which speaks to the enormously successful development of our kids from primary through high school. Please visit and speak to our leadership to fully understand the rich, multicultural experience awaiting kids in this wonderful school system.
This school district has come a long way. Within the last few years, the new superintendent, Dr. Rumage, has brought enthusiasm and pride into the Red Bank schools. The teachers are top notch and clearly go above and beyond for the students. The standardized testing scores have risen dramatically, as have the involvement in sports and other extracurricular activities. Dr. Rumage has very lofty goals for the district, and his determination, and that of the staff, is evident in the everyday happiness, safety, and success of the students.
I'm proud to live in a town with such an outstanding school district. As a member of the Red Bank Borough Education Foundation, I constantly witness the dedication of the school administration and staff to the children of Red Bank. And the results are clear. In 2019, the district was one of 11 in the state to receive the prestigious distinction of Lighthouse District by NJDOE, an honor which recognizes substantial academic improvement. Also last year, the district was designated as a "High Performance District" by NJDOE.
