I have attended Real Life Christian Academy for four years and have been pleased with my overall experience. The teachers and administration genuinely care about their students' well being and incorporate Christian ideals into the subjects they teach. Although communication can sometimes be disorganized and I wish there were more available classes to prepare students for college, I know administration is working hard to make up for what the school lacks. Real Life is also working on creating more AP and duel-enrollment classes, so I'm excited to see what's being offered next year.
Real Life Christian Academy is a good school that offers the bare minimum for a student to graduate with their GED. They're strong suit is their highschool core classes such as social sciences and English. However, the school overall struggles with communication between administration and the student body, coordination, and boosting moral for students. It does not do a very good job accommodating for students with special needs or those who have learning deficits. It's average because it'll do what a school should but is not fit to help students over achieve of beef up a transcript or resume. Over just the course of 4 years, Real Life has seen three administration changes and a flow of teachers being hired and then resigning shortly after. Simply, this school lacks stability. The best thing it has going for them is a handle of upper school teachers. They are the real glue of this school.
For the exception of the 7th grade Language Art teacher, Ms. Podguski , who loves to humiliate students in front of the others, the school is wonderful. The funny thing is that, she’s the one in Life Group as well. My child asked me one time, “ mom, isn’t this supposed to be a christian person? Cause she has humuliated and disrespect students since day one! We don’t even dare to ask her anything cause we are all afraid of what she’s gonna come up with!”. There’re ways and there’re ways. Sad , so, so very sad example.
