I went to Reagan High School for 4 years. I really enjoyed my time there but the thing that made it what it was, was the band program there. It is a program that you would not find anywhere else. i t gave me experience and opportunities that I never want to take for granted. All the teachers I had were always supportive and wanted to help teach us and watch us succeed. I enjoyed going and being a student at Reagan High School.
The school is amazing, diverse, and has many opportunities to get involved. However, it is a very large school and harder to stand out in the eyes of colleges, very competitive.
I really liked Reagan high school and i truly am sad to leave it. The people are really nice as well as the teachers that help you when you have questions.
Good teachers and staff, created many memories with the friendly people at this school and believed that i learned a lot as a result of the mere 2 years that i spent at this school. the courses were a perfect lev el of difficulty, and motivated us to try our hardest, get good grades, while learning a good amount of the subject at hand. The teachers made sure that we understood properly before moving on, and i have some of my favorite teachers as a result of attending this school. I believe that the large campus made the vast opportunity possible, and in order to thrive at such a school, it was important to focus on your studies and everything would fall into place. Though sometimes overlooked, friendly staff can make high school a good experience as well, and boost your mood as well as encourage you to perform at your best. Overall, my experience and review of Reagan High School is fairly positive and i believe anybody attending would not have a difficult time succeeding.
My high school experience here was very average. The stuff that bugged me the most was the dress coding. I know dress code is a district policy but an administrator would see you showing a shoulder or less than a cm of your stomach and decide to take you in. If you didn't show shoulder or stomach, you would be good, which isn't the dress code. The school spirit was poor even if student council or any organization tried to push it which made school sometimes. The academics was the best thing of Reagan because of the courses, they prepare you for college workload, and SOME teachers are a really huge help. Personally I had a lot of amazing teachers and that's what got me through these 4 years.
It was a great 4 years! The teachers were great, especially the AP teachers, and there were so many kids that you could’ve met someone new everyday! The GT classes were great!
I moved half through my high school career. When I moved to Reagan, I had to attend virtual classes as I moved mid-pandemic. I think the teachers handle the abrupt change very well, but I think the counselors at this school have been average. My counselor she was very good about getting me set up for school, but after I was enrolled it was as if I no longer existed, she was was not very good at reaching out when I needed help. And when I was being considered for Summa I was awarded the honor and then shortly after taken out. Overall my experience has been okay, not the best finish for Senior year but I made the most out of it, made friends that I’m so happy to know and have made some unforgettable experiences.
The experience at Reagan is pretty extraordinary. From the different types of classmates and the multiple extracurricular classes, there’s almost something for everyone when you go to Reagan such as the multiple language classes or the many sports classes that are open for people to participate in. The teachers themselves are also very nice, always allowing themselves to help a student grow and are willing yo help them succeed in their endeavors to be a college student. The students at Reagan are primarily good eggs, often being hard workers who are willing t put their all into the assignments they are provided and won’t step down easily until they’ve reached their overall goal of fulfilling their personal dreams or possible outcomes the hope to reach. Overall I’d say that the experience at Reagan is something unique, that not much schools can truly replicate the energy of Ronald Reagan High School.
I think that Reagan prepared me decently for my Ivy League education. I think that the social studies and English departments could be improved.
Reagan High School can be a very prestigious high school at times. Your class rank and grades are taken very seriously among the teachers and students. However, our Fine Arts programs are exceptional! Our art, choir, orchestra, band, theater and speech and debate programs have all received outstanding awards and recognitions throughout the last two decades. There are dozens of electives and clubs you can join to make friends and find your passions and interests.
I love the Reagan band. This school has very involved parents and good funding to maintain its notoriety on the national level. Moreover, it's easy to make friends in this school. On the other hand, there are also some entitled and troubled kids that can make the environment questionable. The teachers are great and do their job in preparing you for AP exams or college.
An extremely competitive school that in turn prepares you for college. Many teachers care about your success in life.
I love Reagan and the community that it has. There are so many different clubs, organizations, and teams to be a part of and make so many new friends from. The students and teachers from Reagan all have a drive to go the extra mile and do what is best for everyone. The academic and athletic competition is insane and is one of my favorite parts about my school. We are always trying to be the best and do the most that in the long run it will be so beneficial for our futures.
I’ve had a very positive experience at RHS thanks to joining the choir program. This program has impacted my life in many ways. The closest friends I have are ones I made due to my involvement in choir and I’ll likely continue to maintain these friendships even after graduation. To any upcoming freshmen, I highly recommend trying out choir to see if you enjoy it. It’s one of the most welcoming programs here at Reagan and we’d love to have more people.
I like the variety of clubs and extracurricular activities that students can get involved in. Academic level is very good and most of the teachers and counselors are supportive.
At Reagan, I liked how there are a variety of clubs, organizations, and classes that you can join. Even if there is a club that does not exist at Reagan, you can simply start one yourself with the help of the teachers. I liked how the school encompasses a variety of interests that will make you feel included. However, I do think that there are some teachers that are not underqualified. Some of them don't know what they're doing while others have trouble conveying the information in an understandable manner to the students. However, there are only a few teachers like this, whereas the majority are very talented teachers who really enjoy what they do and care about their students. They are very encouraging and are ready to help. The school administration works hard to create an uplifting atmosphere.
My experience was pretty normal; the teachers were understanding and the classes were fulfilling. One thing that could change is the school should expand the classes they have for selection.
