The teaching staff is great and really engage with the students to make sure they fully understand the topic, or assignment. The facilities for the overall campus are very well kept and clean. The after school help is also a big help to students who need extra help on a subject they do not understand. The teachers are always willing to help the students to learn and understand materials during and after classes. The biggest part that was outstanding was the ability for teachers to work with student athletes such as myself. They would allow us extra time to complete work during class on days we would be leaving early, or allow us to receive the work the day before and and teach us the concept so we fully understood the work. The class sizes were not to big so teachers always knew what certain students needed help with and how they learned. All these factors lead me to really enjoy my high school career and fully understand everything I learned.
I enjoyed the teachers that cared about the subject they taught. These types of teachers were really passionate and taught with a spring in their step. However, I would change the amount of assignments given solely on bookwork. If possible, I would implement more assignments on creativity while it also pertaining to the subject being taught.
Reagan County High School is a close high school community. In other words, it is very easy to make friends on this campus and everyone knows everyone. I like how friendly the teachers are, and how engaged they are in wanting to help their students. The environment of the school is great too. It is easy to feel at home here for anyone who is used to smaller environments. It is very easy to participate in all kinds of clubs and sports while still focusing on your school work. I do wish that our school would better prepare our students for college and not be so lenient when it comes to due dates and such things as those, but the staff does emphasize the importance of managing our time and work. Overall, I would rate my experience with Reagan County High School a great one. It allowed me to finish my high school career alongside my friends and really gave me an insight to managing my time wisely.
