When first being able to go into the building as a high school student, I did not know what to expect or what to feel. Initially, I was hesitant about the school because I was nervous that it was just going to be like the movies, and how there would be certain cliques that I wouldn't be able to be a part of. For the most they're are groups that tend to stay with one another, but overall, everyone is really nice and friendly. As I have been educated here these past few years I found myself being more confident and social with other people. I have made new friends with students and with teachers and I believe that any student that walks these hallways is benefitted.
Hispanics and Latinx was the majority, so being Haitian American it felt as tho I was left out in the culture. Nevertheless it was diverse. The curriculum wasn’t the best compared to other schools, so it felt like I was behind. Overall I learned, but did not retain.
online is going good so far i really have no complaints everyone is trying their best. i really dont know whats going to happen when we go back
My experience was amazing! Meet some wonderful people who had changed my way of thinking. The building is easy to access but not the greatest conditions.
Reading High School has many resources for all kinds of things, from a bank to personal help with college findings.
I like the unity and pride of the students and staff. They care about students and their education paths and try to help as much as they can.
Reading High School is often perceived as a bad school with horrible students and staff, and I believe thag is completely false. People only see the bad things, but I loved my time at reading high. All my teachers were amazing and were dedicated to teach us and had a passion for what they do. I always felt safe and loved the building. I will miss going to Reading High but it was the best school I could’ve ever went to.
Although to most it could be considered a big school there are many opportunities to find friends and things that could interest you from various clubs and activities from the national honors society to american sign language club. Reading Senior High school is an overall great high school
One of my favorite things about going to the Reading Senior High School is our GAEP or our German American Exchange Program which allows students to live in Germany for about 3 weeks. I was lucky enough to go in the Fall of 2019. I would hope to see in the future our High School expanding on more Art and Musical programs. Something I really enjoy is being able to attend our High School for half the day and the other half at RMCTC.
The school is overall a good place. The teachers are definitely invested into the students. They do try their best especially when wanting their students to succeed. But yea, there can be bad moments like decent food and hallway can it a little to much but it’s still a good school. I love the academic courses. It varies to swimming and all even to piano. The peers can be chaotic but it’s good when their motivated in wanting to be the best. Even though, they’re still students who lack a lot of things.
It’s a pretty good school and the teachers try their best to help. They have nice electives and after school programs that other schools don’t. It’s too bad there are a lot of disrespectful kids there that dirty the school.
Reading High school is a place where the arts are promoted and diversity is very big. The sports of the school are very good and the school culture and school spirit are very active. The facilities do need to be updated and the food is definitely lacking. The teachers are great and really help the students succeed and they become mentors for the students. Overall the school is very good and it was an excellent experience.
My experience with Reading high school was average because they helped me academically but me as an athlete did not get any help at all.
My experience in RHS has been one of the greater times of my life, many students involved in many of the clubs and activities it has, great selection of after school activities, the diversity gives a better vibe in the environment as there are many different cultures in every single hallway throughout the day. The teachers create a professional but fun workplace and bonds. The food probably was the least of my favorites as to quality of the food wasn’t the greatest for students, but it was better than nothing, left some students not eating their food due to the quality.
The teachers are absolutely amazing and make connections on a deeper level, fully engaging the students. It has a warm environment to it & holds many dear memories.
I love the teachers, they're amazing. They're so sweet and genuinely care about us. But I wish the administrators and guidance counselors were more fair and equal to everyone. The lunches could be a lot better. You can see potential in many students but there are those, like in many other schools as well, who just don't want to work hard. The school has a great spirit and has many opportunities for many things such as school activities, scholarships, military involvement, college searching, and many other opportunities to be involved in.
Reading Senior High School is one of the best schools for those looking for a way to pay for collages as they give many scholarships.
