3 stars don’t mean bad, but it does have its downfalls. The school struggles to maintain some of the hallways walkers but you can tell they certainly try. Sadly, another downfall is that we literally cannot keep nice things, due to such students, and with a recent shortage of teachers, it’s a horrible power struggle. However, all teachers and supporting administrator is amazing! You certainly get to make a connection with them and have the dreaded feeling of school be a little less weighing. They do their best to keep up with students and make sure they pass, creating fun little gimmicks and opportunities for students such as a little shop cart that is wheeled around that gives some students opportunities to help, not excluding SpecialEducation students which I love. All in all, you hate to be here, but you can’t deny the experiences that make who your are.
My experience in Reading School District was good I liked how the teachers had their own style of teaching. I was really able with most of my teachers I had during my years there. I really appreciated the ambition and how hard the teachers worked with students, pushing them to be their greater selfs. My teachers always pushed me to my limit and but not overboard. When I couldn’t do it myself I know my teachers would be there wanting to help. Although I loved being at Reading High it did have its faults. It’s in the heart of the city surround by crime. Sometimes the school can be looked at as dangerous and unsafe. We had numerous incidents with weapons in or around our school. Following with physical fights and deaths. I live in a high crime rate city this is nothing new to me or the students that attend the school district. Because of this I won’t rate the school and my experience 5/5 but 4/5. A great school but it has its faults that overpower some of the good.
Diversity and feeling comfortable no matter who you are what you like. Would change the education, providing more challenging work, better food!
