I liked how small of a school it was and the people were really nice there and also in the community
The teachers and counselors are very nice and work very hard to make sure we are getting the best education possible. All the coaches are great. We have many fun clubs and groups you can join to make your high school experience the best it can be. Overall a very good school and environment.
My experience at Reading Community High School has been a very pleasant one. Despite being moved to different buildings within my four years of high school at Reading, it was well worth it because our new PreK-12 building is exceeding expectations.
Reading High School, though fairly small in size, boasts an impressive team of educators, many of whom seem passionate about their careers and are not afraid to develop personal relationships with their students. Unfortunately, the number of clubs and electives is fairly restrictive, as is to be expected with a school of its size. The school recently received a new campus that was a substantial improvement over the previous school building, featuring heightened security and various modernizations. School spirit is not very high, and involvement with sports appears somewhat low, at least in my current grade. Preparation for college is a priority for many teachers. The administration is friendly and generally seems to shy away from harsh punishment or overly restrictive rules. Overall, Reading's small size means that it may not have as much to offer as some larger schools, but what it does offer is generally of a high quality.
As I pushed through high school, I found teachers and friends help. They helped me persuade my dream and accomplish some of the most hardest times of my life. They would make sure I would come in and give school my full attention even though I worked most of my senior year.
Reading High School is a hidden gem. The school may be small and unrecognized, but the teachers are very good and truly care about the students.
I love my small school. Currently, I am second out of the 99 people in my senior class. The number of people allows for extremely small classes and therefore increased teacher attention. The environment here at Reading promotes learning and good habits.
My experience at Reading Community High School was the best years I had when it came to my academics and the teachers are always willing to help their students when it comes to classwork or studying for a test. The changes that I would like to see would be the improvement of the school lunches to make them taste more better and having more of a variety of foods instead of heating up the food.
Reading High School, although small, is an amazing school. I am so blessed to be apart of a tight knit community that supports it’s students and their successes. Our teachers are phenomenal and establish good connections with students to help them achieve their goals.
The sports and clubs at this school have been a great opportunity for my students. The teachers have worked very hard with the students and are very involved in every aspect of sports and clubs. The administration seeks to provide funding to make all of the experiences memorable.
Teachers are very involved and seem to enjoy their subjects. The are interested in helping their students and make a concerted effort to be available to them after school for help every day.
Overall, we have a great nurse, a great school officer and my students feel safe at school.
As a parent, overall, my students have had a positive experience at this school. It is a small school where students are close to each other, teachers care a lot and are involved, and parents pull together for the sake of their kids and the entire student body. Teachers especially seek to be available to students and are frequently involved in all of the extracurricular activities. The community as a whole also supports the schools, having just recently passed a new bond issue to fund a new school to house all of the school buildings in one.
Our football team went 9-1 this year and made the state playoffs for the first time in ten years! The community, student body, faculty and staff were all supportive and very engaged at all of the games. It is a great atmosphere for high school athletics!
I am very pleased with the teachers at Reading. They take the time to help students when they are struggling or don't understand the topic.
I have never heard of a prolonged problem. They are always dealt with accordingly.
Reading High School was the best decision we made as far as the best education for my son.
