Raymond High School is a small town school with a big city feel. The school really thrives because of the close-knit community. The community steps in whenever the school is in need. For example, during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic the community came together and provided the students with masks other necessities in order for learning to continue.
I love my school. It is a second home. It is a place where you don’t have to worry about your safety of your well being. There are many people at my school that will serve as a role model or parent figure while you’re at school. We are at school more than we are at home, and school should be a place where we can express ourselves and feel loved. Raymond is a great example. From the principals all the way down to the janitors every one is appreciated and gives out appreciation.
Raymond is a small place. Our high school has roughly 500 people classifying as a 4A school in Mississippi. Not to long ago did we finish our new state of the art facility. This facility includes a basketball gym, a new auditorium, but most importantly a new home. The changes this school is making are great for the future be we need some changes to be made now. Changes such as better college preparation and overall life preparation.
