My experience at Sam Rayburn high school has been the best. Not on only do they help you with academics, they help you with things that are going on at home. It was a learning community and a family community. There's not a thing that Rayburn wouldn't do for you. Even during tough times such as the threats made towards the school, the leaders of Sam Rayburn did whatever they could to make you feel safe.
Love my school it is overall a very well rounded and respected from all over the state of Texas. I couldn't imagine attending another school.
We don't have that big of a variety we have a choice of what they made that day or a sandwich.
The dress code kind of makes a lot of parents and students mad.
At any game no matter where it is our fans and student section are always out of their seats and into the game.
We have basketball, softball, golf, tennis, track, cross country, FFA, and also theater
it's not good but people eat it so it can't be too bad.
Small school not many options, but enough to keep everyone evolved.
For a smaller school, there is plenty of subjects and extra-curricular courses to choose from. There is something for everyone.
I felt well prepared although I hadn't decided on which college to go to until later.
High school is not an easy place from most people especially in today's society. My school was and is a terrific school to attend because everyone is basically a big happy family. It's in the middle of a close-nit community so everyone knows everyone. The teachers relate to you also so you are not just another face. You are you as an individual.
The nurse is oftentimes no where to be found, but in the elementary school the kids are constantly nurtured by their principal, and he will not stand for bullying. However, in the high school, the administration is hard to talk to and it does not have a separate nurse. There are security measures around the school that the students are not allowed to know about, and being thirty minutes away from town, there are bound to be undercover cops. I feel my school to be very safe.
The administration has a sort of humor about their policies. They do not really take seriously to the issue of bullying, but that is only because bullying is not that prominent in our school. The students are not allowed to have piercings or tattoos showing, and it affects the students and parents that pay for those procedures to get done. However, minimal amount of supplies are needed, which saves the parents and students a considerable amount of money.
