Ray High School Reviews
Rating 4.04 out of 5 186 reviews
Ray High School is an IB school, it comes with an interesting and wide variety of subjects and extracurriculars. Most teachers make the student’s experience enjoyable and fun. The school is kept clean and provides students with everything they need to succeed. My only complaint would be that some staff members may come off as rude and lack empathy towards students, but the school is still a safe place for student’s to learn, grow, and prosper.
My experience was right between amazing and the feeling of disappointment. I made many friends there these past three years and had space to grow or rather learn who I want to be as a person. Many other students were welcoming and kind, some felt like you have known them for years. They made the high school experience worth the struggle. There is a weak point for me though, the administrators. They don't really seem to care as much as others would think, there are some great counselors and staff but they are rare to find. Some staff made me feel a bit rushed about the future as if it all depended on that one day. I would like to see more concern and care from the staff in the future.
The school is old and shows it’s age even with the efforts of renovations to revitalize the school. The schools academics are sub par unless you are in the IB Program. This program allows students to study with various well equipped and bright teachers who do a great job at inspiring their students. The IB program has unmatched academic performance in comparison to the rest of CCISD. The school administrators are also very involved and seek to better everyone’s experience and education.
