Overall Rawlins high was a very average high school. There wasn't anything remarkable about it, we generally had rather good teachers, however a distinct number of them tended to cry in the classroom which was a little odd. Safety didn't seem to be that great of a concern, unless it was for unsubstantiated reports. We have a rather good boys basketball team, and our girls volleyball, and track team are decent as well. However our football team tends to get most of the funding, and isn't particularly good for it. I believe our academic scores are about average for the state of Wyoming. In summation it wasn't the worst school to attend, but there are many ways in which it could improve.
The Rawlins High School is a place that tries its hardest to bring fun and learning to such a small town. The school prides itself in many classes like home economics, theater, choir, band, and physical education. They fight to keep clubs going, like the speech and debate team or the theater group, and they give the chance of every student to express themselves bu having these options. Unfortunately the school seems to have a harder time recognizing the arts of their community. Their sports section is strong, and full of leaders. But the art field is kind, and also full of strong willed leaders. They deserve equal recognition, but a good majority of the time, many students talents go unnoticed and under appreciated.
Little to no offers of upper education, discluding duel-enroll college classes from Western Wyoming. Faculty is rude and not engaged.
