Ravenwood has a beautiful campus and great sports programs. The teachers here are for the most part are above average, and take great care in helping their students do well. However, on Campus parking is very limited, and sometimes we have to walk about a half a mile to just get into school.
Ravenwood has so many selections for clubs! I have joined so many throughout my four years and even founded one myself! Ravenwood is also a very culturally inclusive and diverse school with a strong focus on academics. I feel well prepared going to college!
I am a senior at ravenwood high school. I truly do believe the staff has your best interest. Most classes challenge you but you of course are offered help to succeed!
I think Ravenwood is a good school that offered me challenging courses. There is a lot offered for any interests that one might have. The arts, humanities, science, math, and social studies classes have different levels of difficulty to accommodate all students. The teachers are also great at communicating with students and helping reach their needs weather its in school or at home. Its a little crowded here, however there is also plenty of space for people to go. Its a very diverse school where you can find all sorts of cultures around you wherever you look. Furthermore, its a great place to prepare for college, and offers tons of extracurricular for whatever you are interested in. Students also have the ability to start clubs themselves if they feel one is missing.
Ravenwood High School is amazing because it offers a diverse range of academic and extracurricular opportunities for students. The school has a strong and dedicated faculty, who support and challenge students to reach their full potential. Additionally, the school offers a wide range of AP classes, which allow students to further their knowledge and skills in a variety of subjects. Furthermore, the school has a wide range of extracurricular activities such as sports, music, and clubs, which allows students to pursue their passions and interests. The school also values diversity and inclusivity and encourages students to be accepting and respectful of others. All these factors make Ravenwood High School an excellent educational institution that provides students with the resources they need to succeed and grow.
My experience at Ravenwood has been fantastic! I am currently a senior, and my brother is a junior. Most of the classes we've taken have been challenging and rewarding and have prepped us for the next level in that subject area. I am currently taking AP, honors and dual enrollment classes. Ravenwood offers a wide variety of these programs to help us prepare for college. The teachers are great, and I have maintained relationships with most of them since taking their classes. The band program is my favorite and absolutely phenomenal! I have taken in the concert band class and been a member of the marching band since my freshman year. My brother is too. I can't say enough about how marching band and the director (Chris Janowiak) have changed my life and helped me develop personally. I have recommended band and marching band to everyone in the middle school bands and high school who play instruments. I am the 1st chair in the top honors band) and the Brass Hornline Captain in marching.
Ravenwood continues to have more resources, advantages, gifts, and opportunities because it makes use of every one of them to help students develop. Additionally, it contains pupils that get along well and support one another to achieve a similar goal. Students at Ravenwood exhibit the traits of perseverance and hard effort. The fundamental aspects that define excellence also include a positive school atmosphere, a cohesive staff, community participation, a strong leader, and a challenging curriculum.
It's a good school in general. Most of the teachers and administrators are really nice, they helped me whenever I needed help. The only thing that I would want the school to fix is their food. Sometimes lunch is so bad.
Overrated. The school takes credit for the standardized test scores of the students when the credit should go to the parents who pay many thousands of dollars for outside tutoring.
I transferred from a 10/10 school in California to Ravenwood last year, at the start of my sophomore year. It took a little while to get settled in, but after a few weeks, I felt I knew the campus and my teachers very well. It was easier to get involved, despite moving across the country, because of the dozens of other kids moving into Tennessee. A wide variety of courses are offered, and Ravenwood is a high achieving school, both academically and athletically. The only major thing that’s new to me coming to Ravenwood that I didn’t have at my old school is a lot of fees. Class fees, for example, are not required, but heavily encouraged, which is something I never had before. The school charges you wherever they can. Their inedible lunches start at $3.75. A ticket to one football game as a student is $11. Things like this are annoying, but in the long run, the resources and great teachers at Ravenwood help make up for it.
I enjoyed the lively and welcoming environment from the faculty staff and teachers. Majority of teachers would be willing to aid students with work or life when needed.
I love how many opportunities Ravenwood gives you, and I absolutely love the fact that there’s no class rank. In terms of opportunities, I feel like it’s very easy to find an activity you enjoy and then get high achievements in it. However, I feel they could improve on some things as well. For one thing, certain student concerns aren’t taken very seriously.
The things that I love about my school are the caring teachers, the wide variety of classes, and the many student led projects conducted around the school.
Ravenwood has been a solid high school for education, and there are always events to be attending throughout the year.
Ravenwood is overall a good school but for the area it's located in, the administration is poor, affecting everything else. I definitely think there needs to be some reflection and improvement regarding administration.
A great school that has a lot of potential. The teachers are a bit understaffed which can sometimes take away from the learning potential but the learning facilities and resources available are plentiful.
Ravenwood High School is the perfect school to be prepared for college. The staff does their best to challenge students and ensure each and every individual's success.
