Although it is a small school, you experience a sense of community at RHS that you can't find many other places. The teachers are personable and you can get to know them easily, and the district leadership is amazing. Although not for students who want a variety of programs, this is still an amazing school that you can learn well from.
Ravenna High School had a great staff that always wanted what was best for their students and was always involved in the community.
Great school! Everyone involved at Ravenna genuinely cares about your success and will do everything in their power to make it happen!
The spirit and the community, as well as how much the staff and administration value student success.
I would love to see more athletic and academic opportunities for all students. The support is definitely within the district, but the resources are not.
a couple of things I enjoy about Ravenna High School is that the teachers always find a way to make it more fun and hands-on to get the students to interact. They also are always willing to help and want to see the best for every student. One thing I would like to see fixed is the number of threats of people shooting it up.
I loved Ravenna High school as a student myself. My husband attended Ravenna High school as well, and now my two children attend Ravenna. My son is a senior and my daughter is a sophomore and they have both found great success academically as well as athletically. The music program has struggled in the past few years but seems to be coming back. Teachers are willing to work over the summer and during the school year to improve their craft and enhance the curriculum for all students.
Ravenna has a new administration team and things are improving exponentially for our small school and community! Go Dogs!

I love athletics and also how small of a town it is and how close we are to each other while being involved with sports. The community in Ravenna is great.
Overall my high school experience has been pretty decent, but there is for sure room for improvement. There are many opportunities available at my school, such as dual enrollment and school activities. However, some of the core classes are lacking and could use improvement. Often times the core classes are very straightforward and boring. Although school is expected to be boring, the classes are very repetitive, which doesn't help bring any fun to the class. However, the classes still get the point across in most situations, and my education has been good although it was bland at times.
I liked how helpful the teachers were. They were always willing to answer questions and be available after school for help when I needed it.
more support for drama club and E-team. there should be a study hall, home care, help prepare for the real world like leasing agreements for houses, and cars, how to cook a meal.
I would like for Ravenna High School to provide more opportunities for the arts. There are few English classes available and no creative writing opportunities. There is no funding for the Drama Club -- not even a stage. Overall, Ravenna High School is lacking in the arts department, and should work to give the students a chance to express themselves. If the students cannot even take AP classes at the school, they should be able to use their creativity to their advantage.
I wish Ravenna was more diverse and had higher level classes for students to take. I also wish it prepared us more for college.
Ravenna High School is a very small school. For me personally, I like the small student population. It is easier to get to know people and to get one-on-one time with teachers if there is confusion about the curriculum. However, there are some drawbacks to a smaller school. I would like to see more extracurricular classes available, especially when it comes to languages. I also wish that this school had in-person AP classes available. Also, I would like to see the school organizations, such as band, choir, and drama club, grow. I would like to see an auditorium be put in because I believe that it is necessary for many school activities. Other than those things, Ravenna High School is a pretty good school. Most of the teachers that I have had seem to be willing to help their students with any problems they may have. If you enjoy smaller schools, then Ravenna High School is the perfect place for you.
Overall, Ravenna High School is a great place to go to school, and grow as a person in society. I love how it is a small town school with a lot of tradition. Some things to improve on would be to upgrade some facilities, work more on college readiness, and improve overall safety as a whole. Overall, Ravenna High School was a wonderful place to spend my four years in High School.
I moved here my junior year and you can only play sports if your name is known there. I got a concussion by a lap top and the office person told me to quit being drama queen and go back to class. I want that to change to where more students can play sports and where the staff is more aware of concussions. Other then those Ravenna is a good school. Everyone knows everyone, its a very small town. There is more of the groups like popularity, outsiders, and etc. Some of the teachers don't help you, Ive been asking for help in algebra and my teacher tells me that she can not help me at all I've asked several times to stay either after school, come in before school, stay during lunch, or even come in during my other classes and she tells me no, I can't ask during class because other people have questions. I have to ask people from work to teach me what I'm learning because I don't get help.
I would like to see funding go towards a variety of programs. Also, there should be more Advanced Placement classes and a Grade Point Average higher than 4.0 should be offered.
