1. I was a student at this school from 2011-2016. I hated the whole experience. I was placed in special ed classes and I was bullied. The teacher’s name is Lisa Williamson and she didn’t care. The bullying happened right in front of her face in the classroom, and she still acted like she didn’t see. She also took part in the bullying. She didn’t care; nobody cared or did much about it. Some bullies got detention. Some of the bullies were seniors and they still graduated. The teacher left at the end of the year, but I don’t know if she left on her own or got fired. I was still miserable and didn’t have many friends. I was treated like I was stupid. The special ed administrators treated me like I was slow. I had social anxiety and no one did anything to help. When I tried to join the soccer team, they didn’t even bother to tell me I didn’t make it to the team, and just made me go to the game and just stand there, looking stupid.
I like the environment that my school has : there’s little to no bullying and the teachers actually push you to do the best you can, since the amount of students per class is relatively small.
I like the system that they have of reading all days so that students can known about diversity and also they love read as I am.
The community was great, everyone was friendly. The classes where not that bad but there was some laziness to teach in some of them.
What I like about Raul Yzaguirre is that it inspires its students to achieve great things. They give us guidance to achieve our dreams through hard work and dedication with practice and leadership. Not many schools helps it’s students go to college or teach them how to live in the actual world. This small school, it’s principal, it’s staff, and also most importantly it’s teachers helping their students; making them believe and achieve anything they dream of. The teachers give us knowledge and prepare us, they shape us through hard work so later in life we will have an easier time. This school might not have the many things, the many opportunities what other schools have normally. They make the best of what they have no matter the struggle they have to go through in order for its students to shape the road they want to go through. What I like about Raul Yzaguirre is that they are a family, a community, who helps young scholars with dreams to achieve a greater future.
The school isn't a horrible. I just feel like it could use a lot of improvement. I was able to get into dual credit because of this school. The thing is it doesn't offer much we do not really have a good budget for things like sports.
I have been coming to Raul Yzagurrie all high school. The academics here are pretty good.I am a dual- credit student. They offer a great assistance with getting started for college. If you are determined you can take some college level freshman classes and still get credit in high school. I believe that you have great resources if you know what you want.
I’ve been here since eight grade. The school prepares you for college and they give college classes to get college hours which I think is great!
I have been here since the fourth grade and it has been a good school. I am currently in the top 10 percent and hope to continue in this position and the school and it’s instructors are assisting me in this goal.
It is a fun school. There is a lot to be learned here. There are great academic classes that will help you career wise and aid you in being successful. There are also a lot of helpful people who are always there to help you when you need it.
This school has brought a lot of opportunities to me which I am grateful for. I have had amazing opportunities to a better future and great times with my fellow classmates and teachers. Everyone is super nice and caring
My experience with my high school has been pretty great because they focus so much on stem. It has been nothing but a great time here. I have been here since the beginning of middle school and it is a great experience because all the friends you made back in middle school go on to follow you all the way to high school. You never actually feel alone.
The school is filled with nice people and it's great for developing ones interest in knowledge. I thoroughly enjoyed my experiences at this school. Staff was great and teachers were commendable. Unfortunately, a new CEO was voted in by the school board due to financial problems occurring at the school. Lots of discontent began and many good teachers and staff were dismissed as a result of the new administrators.
My experience is okay so far even though I would like to change the time we get out at for example at 3:00 or 3:30.
i say that raul is a good school is just that is not that fun like any other high school we just come here to do our work and go home. is not a bad school is just that I wish it was fun. Bust since i've been here for the longest that im used to it and plus I'm a senior and throught out all the years ive been able to pass my classe because we have good teachers that care about us.
Awesome School, Great teachers! Definitely would recommend any parent to enroll their children here. Start them up in head start and take them all the way through high School.
I wouldn't trade my school experience for anything. It is a very unique experience because unlike others schools, i have watched and participated in the flourishing of this school. I have seen budget decline us of many things, and i have also seen teachers, students and staff working together to overcome such obstacles. My school teaches us that no matter how poor, or unfortunate a situation may seem there is always a road to success. Most importantly, I grew up in that school, everything i have learned, and everything i am is because of my school, and i wouldn't have it any other way.
