My experience at Raritan has been extremely fun! There are things that should change, like school spirit and diversity. However, I was extremely involved in sports and clubs. I was captain of the winter and spring track teams, on the soccer team, in Unified Partners, Heroes and Cool Kids, Peer Assistant Leaders, secretary of Executive Student Council, and the president of National Honors Society.

The overall atmosphere at Raritan is a little lackluster. Not many people have drive and you are often treated as an outsider if you do. There's a huge deficiency in school spirit, but they make it up with heart. The teachers and their dedication to their students are the saving grace of the school. They are clearly not in it for the money. Many of the teachers I've met are teaching because they are passionate about not only their subject, but their students progress as well. With that said, there are also problems with favoritism and communication with students. Overall, Raritan provides students with a great potential to grow and their counseling department will give you the resources to turn to when you feel defeated. It is important to choose the teachers who inspire you and learn about the many programs that the school offers so that you can, most importantly, take advantage of your time at Raritan.
My time at Raritan was mediocre at best. Girls were dress coded by a woman who wore the definition of what NOT to wear to a school. The selection of clubs were great, but their funding was not. Just as stereotypical as you’d expect, the sports department got all the funding. There were a few great junior and senior teachers there who made going to school worth it, but then there were some who were spectacular at fueling my depression. If you have to attend Raritan, then your experience will either be a hit or miss.

Go to football games, musicals, and any other events the school has. It’s a chance to have fun with your classmates. Try and branch out to different things when choosing to join clubs or electives. Try to have fun and make the most out of a considerably mediocre time at Raritan. Good luck to future students. I hope it gets better from here.
Sincerely, a 2019 graduate
