Raoul Wallenberg High has a diverse community that aims to create a safe place for everyone. The academics at Wallenberg is pretty good, but the Computer Science and Biotechnology pathways are great! The teachers here are very nice and usually very flexible and understanding with the students' needs. Overall, a great school if you like a smaller class population!
At first, I did not like being placed at this school. It's a small school, with limited opportunities and resources for our futures. But this Raoul Wallenberg helped me build many connections with peers that share interests and just bring unique skill sets to the table. The teachers so far have all been super understanding of situations and allow for retakes, leniency etc. Depending on what each student personally needs. This really connects the community together, despite the problem of not enough funding because of how small we are.
Firstly the school is a very small school, the school has two floors and a separate building called the annex. All classes take 5 or less minutes to get too, which makes it hard to be late. The school also allows seniors to go off campus during lunch hours. A great thing considering there is a mall right across the street with a target, chipotle, subway and some local business's nearby, this makes for a great base to get food from. It's also in a good spot for buses. 4 bus routes are within 3 blocks of the school. Easy to get to. I would say the greatest thing about the school though is the support provided. The teachers are always willing to help a student and are typically staying late on non-office hour days. You always can seek out a teacher and they will support you. They school also has a wellness center that allows students to chill and relax if they need too, also providing mental, physical, and emotional help. Overall it is a great school and is always a positive place.
